Hiring Blue Creek Construction has been one of the most frustrating and costly experiences I've had…read moreas a homeowner. The project was left unfinished, and the workmanship in several areas was completely unacceptable. Examples include: * Interior window trim was left unfinished. * The contractor failed to order the correct number of replacement windows and, despite claiming to have them, has not returned in over 30 days to install them. Instead, he offered me a partial refund rather than completing the work. * After THREE notices from the City of CR, I had to pay for the permit despite promises that he would "take care of it". * After a bathroom remodel, the brand-new vanity was ruined due to a leaking pipe under the sink that went unrepaired for 3-4 days after it was reported to the contractor. This also led to water damage to my dining room ceiling. * An exterior vent fell out within days of the siding being installed, and it has never been repaired/replaced. The porch siding, specifically corners which were originally left extremely sharp, is now ugly and cumbersome. * Photos of the unfinished and substandard work are also available. Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues, nothing was corrected, leaving me with unfinished projects, damage to my home, and the added expense of hiring another professional to redo the work. BCC did not deliver on promises, failed to communicate responsibly, and showed a lack of accountability. I cannot recommend his services, and I urge others to look elsewhere for someone reliable and professional.

I met Julio, Zack's top construction worker, on a job two doors down doing a siding job when I…read morebought my house. I was so impressed with their work i had Julio look at my garage roof. Regretfully the previous owner only roofed half the garage and left the other half to deteriorate. Julio was the only person to be willing to consider repairing the damage and saving my garage. Under Zack's guidance Julio and his crew came in and saved my garage from demolition. Their skill, craftsmanship, professionalism, and price is second to none in the Cedar Rapids area. The biggest challenge of home ownership in Eastern Iowa is finding a quality reliable consistent and reasonable contractor. Zack and his team are the perfect combination of all of those needs. I can roof, side, replace windows, replace doors, do plumbing and electrical, but why when his crew can exceed my quality at a reasonable price. I also own a rental house and Zack and his crew are the only ones I trust working on any house I own in the Cedar Rapidsarea. I'm confident my money stays local and goes to people that truly work hard and do the very best quality work available hands down. If I had not met Zack and his crew it would have cost me a new $50,000 garage. After the work was done and I saw the result I could not pay them fast enough because that's how you treat contractors that do impeccable work with the highest ethics and standards I've seen in a long time. You cannot go wrong using Zack and his crew on any project you have planned.
