The associates Kendall and Tina were so lovely and accommodating! As someone who is a US XL, finding vintage clothes is hard, but this store tries its best to source for all types of body shapes. They knew what I was looking for and finally I was able to walk out of a vintage shop with a 60s mini dress that fits. Their prices compared to other shops in the area are a bit steep, however it depends on the piece and I think it's worth it. My dress was around $70 CAD and I was fine with paying that price. If I'm ever in Toronto again, I'm coming back here.

The items are priced on the high side but the condition and selection of pieces make the cost some what forgive able if you are on the search for something to invest in. This place doesn't seem to come with the usual scent of a used item store, say like Public Butter further down on queen. I purchased a wonderful, vintage black equestrian helmet. Such a great find!

Opening my horizons recently to vintage stores, I was surprised to find such a modern store with an extremely helpful employee :) On the plus there was no "used" stench in store. The stores selection of goods was impressive in the fact that all the pieces were unique and affordable (either used or the few new pieces). Unlike Geraldine's experience I found the prices to be on the reasonable side. I purchased a vintage silk dress for $19 that looks exactly like a Hermes scarf pattern. Awesome! P.s. Talk about helpful staff, the dress I bought had 12 buttons running down the back. Unfortunately, one button as missing. The sales lady not only helped me look through a button box she had at the store, but after a failed attempt she recommended me to a store about a block down the street. I went to the store and another helpful employee helped me find the EXACT button for only $0.65! Can't wait to go back when more stuff is in!!

Tiger of Sweden fits Ossington nicely as the location and brand both lean towards the young, urban, and trendy. You do need to bring your gold card here though... it does have really nice textures and quality but you pay for it. Right now in December, they have some really great sales. Stepping in the large serene and modern space, I noticed more than half the rack had 30 to 40% off. I was impressed as it wasn't just a token rack in the back on sale. The clean lines and fit of the clothes leans torwards the European slim build and I personally like that. Tiger of Sweden did originally start in menswear but their woman's wear is really nice as well. Think easy pieces that transition from Bay St office to evening in a nice upscale restaurant. The service here is friendly and attentive ... though they do know that it is annoying to hover. They don't do that thankfully. They offer insights on sizing as it is in European sizing. It's not the usual American brand sizing. It was easy to try items on and even though I tried on a few coats among the store, I never once felt the heavy pressure of a sales tactic. Overall, really nice clean modern aesthetic that will last beyond a season in terms of quality & style.

The run of plain t-shirts are ample and the catalogue of press-on designs and lettering are massive. It's a place you could easily lose a laugh-filled hour in. Not only do they do t-shirts, but you can also get baby clothing. Fantastic stuff can be put on the front or back of those. Though my buddy thought it was hilarious, his wife still won't let me come over since I gave their newborn a one-piece with the words "They Shake Me" on the front. Pick your tee, grab your iron-on, and then get ready for you mom to ask whether she wants to know what a "Cleveland Steamer" is and why it's on the front of your shirt. Hours of amusement.
