Really nothing negative to say! I won my item for a lot less then i would've paid wholesale through the app, the app provides the address for pickup, you can schedule a time so all you need to do once arrive is park in a number spot that one of the employees with a yellow vest will direct you to. They will come to your car almost immediately and ask for your info to retrieve your order. A few mins pass and they come load up your items in your vehicle. There sometimes a car line but it moves very quickly! Will frequent this place! read more

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD!! I would strongly caution customers about relying on the condition and descriptions of items listed by Nellis Auction. I understand that Nellis is a liquidation/returns business and that mistakes can happen. However, I have experienced repeated issues with items not matching their listings, including items advertised as "NEW" that arrived opened and clearly used, completely incorrect items, and merchandise that was dirty, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise not as described. For example, I received lashes that had clearly been used, with glue all over the tweezers and missing lashes. I also received a small black shirt when the listing was for a two-pack of bras. I checked both items before leaving the Katy location and returned them the same day. I later discovered an issue with the press-on nails after getting home, and I also received a Hunter crossbody bag that was dirty and did not appear new as advertised. I live approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Katy location with traffic. I don't mind making the drive when I receive what I actually bid on. But when items are repeatedly inaccurate, I am expected to make that same long trip again to return merchandise because of errors that occurred on Nellis's end. Even more concerning was something a Nellis employee at the Katy location told me. The employee stated that staff open items in the back and sometimes use or remove items such as lashes or other merchandise. The employee advised me to check everything before leaving to make sure it is accurate, unbroken, and unused when the listing says it is new. I cannot personally verify everything I was told, but hearing this from an employee was extremely concerning and raised serious questions about how merchandise is being handled. I contacted customer service and asked management to review the situation. I explained that I was not returning items because I changed my mind; I was returning them because they were inaccurate or not as described. I also raised concerns about being penalized for returns caused by inaccurate merchandise. The manager's response did not address those concerns. Instead, I received a generic explanation of the 7-day return policy and was told to use "caution and common sense" when bidding. Customers should be able to reasonably rely on an item being accurately described as "NEW." I requested further escalation and offered to provide photographs and documentation. I never received another response. A return policy is not the same thing as accountability for inaccurate listings. If you bid with Nellis, inspect EVERYTHING before leaving the pickup location, regardless of what the listing says. If you live far away, be prepared to potentially make the trip twice when an item is incorrect, used, damaged, or not as described. I genuinely wanted to enjoy using Nellis Auction, but repeated inaccurate items, the inconvenience placed on the customer(s), and the lack of meaningful management follow-up have completely changed my experience. read more

This auction site is an absolute hidden gem--you need to experience it for yourself! You bid, you win, and you go get it. When you're ready to pick up your stuff you pay and get a window anytime. Usually your stuff can be ready in 15 minutes. You pull in, they tell you where to park, and they bring the stuff to your car. I almost didn't leave a review. Why? Because it's an auction platform, and the last thing I wanted was to spark even more competition for the incredible deals I'm chasing. But this place is simply too good to keep to myself. If you love scoring high-quality items at bargain-basement prices, you owe it to yourself to check it out right now. read more

Genius concept. Sell Amazon returns and have people bid against each other, increasing the urgency to buy needless items.... Next thing you know I'm up to 1579 purchases (and counting). SMH. It's just too easy. Well designed website, streamlined ordering and efficient pick up/return process.. this business has it all going for it. Well done Nellis. Well done. read more

Great this time around, timely and nothing was broken or incorrectly described this time!

We make it out to Nellis Auction in Katy every now and then, and it's always a bit of an adventure--for better and for worse. There are definitely some great finds if you're willing to dig and take a chance. That said, it's not uncommon for items to go missing, which can be frustrating. The upside is that their team is usually quick to process refunds, so at least you're not stuck fighting for your money back. One big tip: test any electronics ASAP. You've got a 7-day return window, and you'll want to use it if something doesn't work as expected. It's very much a "buyer beware" situation, but if you go in with that mindset, you can still score some solid deals. Also... brace yourself for the parking lot. Getting in and out feels like a real-life game of Frogger--cars coming from every direction, people walking everywhere--so just take your time and stay alert. Overall, it's a hit-or-miss experience, but if you're patient and a little lucky, it can be worth the trip. read more

Nellis Auction has one of the easiest online auction platforms I've used. The website is very user-friendly. You can save searches, track items, and the whole purchasing process is simple and straightforward. Scheduling pickup and payment is quick and hassle-free. Pickup is well organized and efficient. When you arrive, you just give them your name and phone number, park in a numbered spot, and they bring your items out and load them directly into your car. Even the return process is smooth and efficient. It's a well-run operation that makes online auction buying easy and stress-free. read more

Great deals! Great workers! Highly recommend. But beware... its addictive. The return process is easy and quick. I have had a few duds but honestly it was so easy to return. There was once I went to pick up my package and they had trouble finding the package but the team was so helpful and communicated the entire time about estimated wait time. read more

I've been getting items from Nellis Auction most of my transactions were good but today I got complacent and didn't count the items before leaving only to find out I'm missing 2 items. I immediately drove back and told them what happened. They called the guy who delivered the items to me and I told him he only gave me 7items instead of 9. I know it's also mistake of not making sure items are complete before leaving but it doesnt make sense for the delivery guys to not count the items before going out to hand them to customers. When I asked the guy what happened? He said the 2 items where hidden so he didn't see them. Hmmm. Sounds hideous and tricky! Just be careful and make sure you have all the items and the correct ones too! read more

This place has become so disorganized and honestly ghetto. You really need to check the items that you pick up because a lot of times the descriptions are misleading and there is damage to the products. I was even told by one of the workers that they don't really check the stuff when they give it a rating. So basically there's no quality check. This place used to be pretty fast in getting you in and out quickly but not anymore. As I mentioned before it is very unorganized and just a bunch of kids blowing their whistles not really knowing where to tell you to go read more

***********A GOOD THING GONE BAD************ This use to be my second home, according to boyfriend my first. LOL!!! Now it has become really popular amongst people. The popularity coupled with the junk selling has placed a damper on my shopping thrill. I was amongst those who would regularly pickup items 2- 3 times a week with no returns. Now I am finding myself ordering 10-15 items and returning at least five. It is a huge inconvenience because I have to sit in parking lot and review everything and then send back a lot of items. Then the workers don't take their time placing items in the car, they hurry up and just throw them in your car and move onto the next. Well yesterday I picked up an oral whitening kit. In the description it read NEW, which meant it has not been used and still in manufacturer' s condition. I opened the kit and two of the syringes have been used along with the mouth Gard. I was blown away. It was very nasty and unsanitary. When items are returned no one is checking them before placing back in QUE to bind on item. If the workers would inspect the products than this problem would be curtailed tremendously. I remember a while ago, a manager expressed to me the staff don't read and inspect, they scan and place on shelf for bidding. Then after sending an email not looking for anything in return just wanted to express my thoughts. I was emailed in return with Jardine to push the blame on me who should be grateful this is located here. It was very offensive and the representative had no empathy. Instead of taking full responsibility. The representative provided details about the policy, how to return the item and the time I have to return the item. It was obviously not important to review the account and see it was already returned I just wanted to express to corportate. read more

What a wild concept. I say that because is it close out? Is it liquidation? Is it a pallet return store? I was driving by weekly as they were building the property to get to Bridgeland on 99. I looked at their website *then* to get an idea of what type of auction. Seemed kind of like a funky niche of items. My mom told me about it & said a friend of hers buys frequently from there. She found a 99 cent pair of pantyhose. Again with the niche... lol Then, I saw a guy bidding on a peloton bike at my son's Christmas program. We've been needing a new washing machine because our 6 year old one had enough. Something told me to check Nellis. Boom. A brand new, still in box Kenmore. I won for $297. We picked it up & again what a wild concept! Their building is massive. There's a small pickup area for you to grab your item(s). When you drive behind the building, there's tons of empty 18 wheelers, pallets nearly stacked, bays full of discarded items that I guess arrive broken? Pickup was mostly organized. The QR code to check in wasn't working so an employee was nice to tell me, "I'll need your phone number." I gave it to him, some guy flung the washer in to the bed of our truck lol, and another guy told me he needed a 4 digit code. None of the emails, app notifications, or appointment settings said anything about a 4 digit code. It's supposed to be the last 4 of your phone number, FYI. Anyways - highly recommend checking out their site, making sure your item is new & shopping to beat retail prices! read more

I actually purchased items from the SW Houston location. I picked up items, and when I got home I discovered I had been given someone else's items. Name tags were on the items, so I know at least 2 other people are missing merchandise. I did not get anything that I ordered. I have tried to communicate with this business, and they will not listen. They say the items I picked up were misidentified, and that I have 7 days to return the misidentified items. I've sent photos of the labels with other people's names, but they do not care. I ordered about 15 items, and only picked up 5 items (that belonged to other people). I did not receive 'misidentified' items and don't know that driving the 45 miles to get there will result in a refund for me. Does anyone know how you can actually speak with a person with Nellis? Thank you. read more

Buyer be very aware!! Most of their items are defective or missing parts. Do not trust that it says new with a 5 star rating. Still trash! Have spent a lot of money and thrown most in the garbage because we didn't inspect quick enough to return. Will never shop with them again and do not recommend to others. read more

I first heard about Nellis from a Yelp review and thought it sounds too cool to not explore. Glad I did! Although beware, you will get lots of dopamine hits and your competitive side might come out - it is an auction after all! Let me start by saying the Nellis site is so well done. It is easy to navigate on your phone, has great filters, and updates pretty much in real time so you can see where you are in the bidding process. If someone outbids you on an item, it also sends you a text message with a link to quickly go back to the item to rebid. You will also get a text message in the last few minutes of an item being available, which is very helpful. The other reviews are very helpful in saying that some of these items are used. Be cautious in your search - any new items will be marked "new". Also pay attention to details like "assembly required", "missing parts", etc. I like to filter by 5 star quality and look at the pictures before I decide to bid. I am more comfortable bidding on some used items than others. Once you win an item, it says you have 7 days to place an appointment to pick it up, although it felt like the options I had to choose from were all less than 7 days out, so beware of the time constraints. Their warehouse is in Katy near 99 and the hours I was able to choose from were 7AM to 4:45PM on weekdays and weekends, so beware there may not be evening hours to choose from (important to know if you were planning on picking up your item after your 5PM job). It was a decent drive for me, so I would recommend either picking up your item(s) on the weekend and try to bundle multiple items in one pickup so it is worth a longer drive. If I lived closer, I would bid more freely. At pickup, there is a QR code to scan and someone brings your item to you. However, when I was trying to scan the code, someone just knocked on my window and asked my name (it was early AM and scared me tbh). The item literally came within 30 seconds. Be aware of cones out too - they are meant to direct traffic but made it more confusing for me because it looks like you aren't able to enter, but I think you actually are. I ended up driving all the way around the building to get to the spaces. read more

easy to navigate their buying site! So easy to pick up your product! I have always had a wonderful experience with them

Disappointed My first adventure was bidding on this pool thermometer. It said "used" but this is beyond used, most likely broken. Its solar panel is cracked, waiting for it to charge to see if it'll even turn on. The fact I was waiting in the line for 30 mins past my appointment time to get this garbage is beyond ridiculous. read more

Your return policy is extremely disappointing. A couple of weeks ago I was in the line when something went wrong at your Katy store and after waiting for over half an hour, I left. I drive clear across town to shop at Nellis so it's extremely inconvenient in the first place to shop, much less return items. When I got there the next day, I was told that I can only have one courtesy return within the year. Prior to that moment, I had no idea that that was the policy. Additionally, they were extenuating circumstances. I was there, but there was an issue with your computers or something that made returning items take forever. This week I was ill all week and finally drove over there today to return something that I picked up last Saturday. The item cost over $30 and it was unusable because even though the description said it was brand new, it clearly was not. I was told that I cannot return anything today because I had my one complementary late return for the year. It's 1day late. I shop there often, but this is going to make me not want to shop anymore and to warn all of the other customers that I have brought to Nellis , to beware. read more

Item was listed as new and I drove 1 hour to pickup a damaged item. I suspected something when I saw the box and I opened it in the parking lot. I returned it immediately read more

I was getting a bed. One box was given and I found it odd but depends on the pieces. Get home (because let's be honest: you really get a rushed feeling) and see 4/4 so I went online to find that now there is an updated note that it was only box 4. Then the audacity of having the rest of the boxes on sale with the same picture. The nerve to not give me the whole bed but instead of reaching out, they just go forth to sell the rest of the bed as a separate auction. The foul part is if you were to win both it passes the estimated retail. My first use of Nellis and this left a very sour taste in my mouth about the establishment, care for the customer, and overall mass push to sell to the ever lining up people. I get it is discounted but there has to be more quality assurance. read more

Great way to get discounted items. Have to be careful as the bidding part is very challenging. I want to win. . The only "beware" is that I would highly recommend reviewing all pictures of the item as I found one item where picture not matching to the actual item description. I have been a loyal customer of Nellis Auction for 5 years. Recently I tried to bid and received a message that bidding had been suspended and to contact customer service. When I did so, I received an AI response that my account was going to be closed due to number of returns. I responded stating the following facts: My account states that I am in good standing, I have never been charged any fees, I continue to receive emails asking me participate in special bidding activities and asked if they take into effect returns due to incorrect descriptions and damaged merchandise. I explained that because my account says that I am good standing, a message I received stating my account may be closed I assumed was phishing and a scam. I was never able to get a response from a live person. I am still stunned that my account still states that I am in good standing and being shut down at the same time. read more

Very poor customer service. No way by phone to contact live support, only by sending a message or text but never get a reply. Merchandise is a hit or miss, you can get a bargin or you may end up with a headach. You may waste time and gas returning your item back. If its a huge and its out of the box and missing parts, now you have to place it back in the box andnow you have to make sure it fits to return it. Think twice before purchasing at Nellis. I am a first-time shopper at Nellis in Katy. I purchased three items from the Katy location. All were listed in good condition and every single item was damaged. I bought a neon sign that didn't light up. I bought a beach chair and when i sat in it, 115 lbs, it fell to the ground and I hurt my back. I bought a painting and it was sliced right through the middle. Very disappointed! Isn't anyone inspecting these items? The descriptions are totally wrong. Decent experience with our first experiment eith this place. It is busy and the pickup process looks a bit chaotic, but actually works pretty well. You're buying stuff right unseen, much of which appears to be Amazon returns. That bit us through no real fault of Nellis, the appliance we bought was clearly an Amazon return and some lowlife had obviously bought a new model the same shape as their old one, transferred the product stickers including the serial number and model number to the old, used, less featured one and returned it in the new box. I only caught it when the QR code on the back led to an owner's manual that in no way matched what was in the box or matched the model number. Nellis has a no questions asked return policy so we boxed it back up and returned it the next day, Return was the same simple process as pickup, give them your number and they come to your car. 2 days later I got a full refund credited to my card. So nothing lost besides a couple of trips to Katy. As others have said, best if you can check your purchase when you pick it up, but they do make returns easy. We're watching the site now and would not hesitate to roll the dice again for a bargain. I will say we ended up finding the same item from a 99% rated Ebay seller for about the same price we won the auction for, so do your homework and don't get sucked into Auction Fever. read more
