I am very disappointed in the office staff at ABC Pediatrics I started going there when my adult…read morechildren were infants when Dr.Kanjanapone was there about 36 years ago n now I advised my daughter in law to take my granddaughter there because all my 3 sons went there with Dr.Kan n then when Dr. Negrete came on board he became my 3 sons Dr. til they turned 18 years old n I NEVER had a problem /conflict with him or the office staff they were very compassionate but I can't say that anymore bcuz my granddaughter saw Dr. Negrete once only n it went wonderful i was there to see it with my own 2 eyes n then the staff has made her appts w/Celeste the NP n she has NO compassion n not very nice to start my granddaughter had her appt yesterday at 9 am n my DIL got there early like 8:40 n signed in n they gave her papers to fill out she filled them out n gave them to receptionist ( Carla) well my DIL is not a confrontational person but she noticed that they took about 6 patients into the rooms before her when she was there before any of them well she went to ask the receptionist that what was the problem why was she being skipped 6 times when she was there earlier n then the other girl in office asked Carla in Spanish (thinking my DIL would not understand ) " Wher are the forms she filled did she turn them in ?" N my DIL replied in Spanish "they are right here I put them here as soon as I filled them out " and Carla n the other girl both looked surprised n were speechless did not give her an answer at this pint my DIL was very annoyed bcuz baby was getting fussy n hungry so all they said was " oh ok go into room number ( can't remember what number they said ) without apologizing to her for their mistake or their rudeness n then when she goes into the room they are not prepared it seems they just shoved her in a room to keep her quiet well finally Celeste comes in n baby was fussy bcuz she was hungry n she makes a rude comment n says " what is your mom doing to you not feeding you?" to the baby n my DIL was so upset n tried to explain what had occurred in the waiting room with her office staff well Celeste did not say a word she did not want to hear it n brushed her off n to me this is very bad n rude n unprofessional bed side manner for a Dr.( NP) bcuz she's not even a Dr. I am very upset with what she went thru yesterday I wish I would've been there bcuz I would not have allowed them to behave in that manner but my DIL is a first time mom n a bit timid so she just took it well I am nit going to allow this to happen again I will go next appt n ask to speak to Dr. Negrete bcuz he is a very respectful professional n compassionate Dr. but for the rest of the staff I can not say the same n this saddens me that being in the medical field you have to have compassion if you don't you're in the wrong line of work n the office staff needs to be trained in PR bcuz they are very rude n unprofessional speaking in another language right in front of your face what is this ? Really in a Drs office so I am appalled n very upset with Celeste n their office staff so before you think about taking your children there make sure you ask to see Dr.Negrete if you want to be treated with respect n compassion!

I think my son is tongue tie and it has been affecting his nursing. I have an older son who had the same issue at birth. I am a stay at home mother of 5. Long story short my husband and myself have been going to San Diego for all prenatal care and hired a birth team of four midwives to come to our home, for a home birth. This was a personal informed medical choice we both decided upon. Paid out of pocket and also purchased private insurance specially for my prenatal care and our soon to be newborn. Anyhow baby is born happy and healthy but tongue tied. We decided to seek a pediatrician in town rather than drive to San Diego.... call this office on advice from a family friend. Immediately as I explained how I'd like to have my son examined and check to see if he is tongue tied and if he needs a snip like my older son...the receptionist asks how old baby is...I explain he's 1 day old. And that I have all paper work ultra sounds and birth record info on what he was given ect..then her tone switches and she asks when I was discharged from the hospital. I explaine how we had a home birth with a birth team of four midwives from San diego...the lady again gets almost snarky! "Oh i.dont think we see home birth patients, I'll need to give a message to the doctor and call you back. You can shop around with other pediatricians. I don't think we will see you. We do one week visit then two week visit and manditory vaccinations" aside from her snarky tone and note seeing home birth patients sounded like a great office...getting all the care and vaccinations here vs driving to sd.... This lady was extreemly judgmental sounding. As if she couldnt be bothered. She takes my number and calls me back shortly to inform me that just as she suspected this doctor does not see home birthed children. My jaw really did hit the floor. My husband and myself are two educated people, my family is extreemly active in the Brawley community...we earn our living pay extra out of pocket for a higher quality insurance on top of paying in full out of pocket for all medical care..including prenatal...heck we even drive 2.5 hours away because brawley and el centro are low in come cities making the quality of care lower than sd!!! To be told a practice didn't accept a home birthed child floored me. In fact disgusted me. I am all about the freedom of making informed medical choices...what kind of world is it when you can abort a baby but God forbid you birth that child at home. Also I'm sure this pediatrician accepts illegals who are on state funded medical insurance because that is how most lower income cities close to the boarder function. Really peeves me! Disappointed and disgusted that any practice would have such regulations. Looks like Suarez and Amani win again. Also not to debate home birth but USA has one of the highest csection rates and it's climbing..most other similar countries(such as uk, Australia ect) advise home birth for low risk mothers as well as the acog states this should be an option for families making informed medical decisions...and the largest four year homebirth Study was just published stating homebirth for low risk mothers is as safe as a hospital birth..there was no higher death or serious injury with home birth as there was in a hospital setting... Aside from my stance on home birth I really am shocked... does this pediatrician see illegals or are those other clients he won't see...what about same sex or no he doesn't take those either? How about white patients or does this pediatrician only take specific races! Where does this pediatrician draw the line on clients. I truly am disgusted. PROS: - Caring, super nice doctor - Wonderful back office staff, mostly nice front office staff. - Comfortable waiting room. - Dr. does not over prescribe antibiotics, and will listen to your concerns and treat you with respect. CONS: - It's hard to get an appointment when the kids are sick. It's usually at least 4 days out. - Answering service is on almost every time I call in the morning (during open office hours), and they know NOTHING. The only thing they will tell you is that you can ask for a call back that will take forever or take your kid to the ER. - Long wait times. I have never had an appointment that took less than 1-2.5 hours - No separate waiting rooms for sick/well kids. During those wait times guess what your "well" kid is being exposed to. - The seating in the office is covered in a velvety cloth, and it grosses me out because it is obviously not wipe down-able. If you live in Brawley, you might be able to overlook some of these things. Personally, I am switching to a group with more doctors and separate waiting rooms so my kids can be seen in a reasonable amount of time without being contaminated by sick kids when they are well. I'll miss Dr. Buenaflor and his staff, but there is another well-liked choice closer to me.

I have been going to him for a couple of years now for Multiple Sclerosis and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He is thorough in his exams, he takes the time to listen, he's not like most doctors out there. He has picked up on issues my primary care doctor overlooked and addressed them. His staff are sweet, you can tell they are hand picked. Things are done quickly, they are organized, efficient, polite, and considerate. If you need a neurologist, he's your pick. I don't like most doctors, I adore this man. If I could give he and his entire staff 20 stars, I would.

We were recommended this pediatrician by multiple families, but Dr. Alshareef failed to recognize…read moremy baby's dislocated hip from birth until I became concerned myself and asked him to do x-rays at 6 months old. Because the standard of care wasn't met as a newborn, my baby has to undergo multiple surgeries and if they aren't successful could even need hip replacement in their twenties along with pain and discomfort for life. Please demand your pediatrician ultrasound your newborns hips at their one month well-baby visit. This is an entirely treatable and simple condition when caught early; six months of age is too long with an entirely dislocated hip. This is a huge liability on behalf of Valley Pediatric Health, and I hope Dr. Alshareef becomes more aware of recognizing hip dysplasia in babies. I took my baby to Dr. Admani in Brawley and he immediately recognized the dislocation without me bringing it up prior. If your baby is late-diagnosed with hip dysplasia, see Dr. Hosalkar in San Diego right away; a month wait for an appointment at Radys is too long to get the ball rolling.
