Fully engaged, outlandishly talented, reasonably priced family business that will blow your expectations out of the water. What you THINK you are going to get cannot compare with the exceptional end result.
Background: I purchased a fully furnished home that was built by a decorator, so there is an attention to detail, design elements, cohesiveness, and taste that I really appreciate -- and am adamant about maintaining. To date, the home has been terrific -- but water damage forced me to re-build/re-surface a signature part of the outdoor space: a cooking and dining island. The original material was a stone veneer which looked lovely but was not durable. In Florida's temperature and moisture extremes, the counter failed and had to be replaced.
Because the home is new to me, I was not eager to invest a lot in a repair of something which should not have failed. At the same time, I was aware of the need to match the quality and taste of the rest of the house. Doing anything off-the-shelf or cheap would've made the outdoor kitchen stand out as inconsistent with the rest of the space. It needed to be done well, but I was frustrated about facing a tremendously expensive project.
I researched the full spectrum of countertop treatments: I looked at every material option and at multiple providers of each material category. Taking what was a gamble, I decided on a new product which gives the effect of a natural stone material but with the design flexibility and decor options to meet both style standards and a reluctant budget.
Taylor and Amanda met with me to explain this new product. They traveled to me and spent all the time that I needed, as well as the time my demo/structural contractor needed, to explain the product, the process, the history and reputation, the style options, the corners, the edges, the interface with grills and sinks and overhangs and pedestals. Their background in high end decorative faux work gave them a particularly vast vocabulary and portfolio from which to draw.
Ultimately, we agreed to give the product and the Taylor team a try -- selecting a look that would tie in seamlessly with existing color and material schemes with an organic, tactile, but durable look. Credit is also due to an exceptional contractor whose underlayment was beautifully executed and tightly sealed: his standards far exceeded the minimum needed by this product but we were all grateful for the care put into it and for the "beefy look" he achieved.
Once Taylor and Amanda were done (a process that they did not rush through and which they scheduled quickly to meet my hopes), the countertop is a solid structure that will endure all that Florida throws our way. The colors tie in precisely with the existing outdoor hardscaping and furniture, and the vibe is of a worn leather saddle that is both contemporary and timeless.
It was not an easy choice to use a less expensive product because it was really important that the result LOOKS high-end. And it is a big success. The effect is edgy and cool, yet it fits so effortlessly in with the classic coastal style that I find it hard to imagine any other surface looking as stunning.
Product: very cool, worth researching, and definitely something that will be broadly embraced in coming years. A game-changer.
Team: genuine, hard-working, smart, unfailingly polite and kind, talented professionals.
Gratitude: I am so grateful to have found Neetzeez LLC. It will be a joy to witness this company make headlines in the Florida community as they upgrade more and more homes with their outstanding work.
