I can't tell you anything but my story & you be the judge. My 2 children started in Nov 2018 and it…read morewas fine. Feb 2019 my daughter moved to another room where she was definitely neglected. I've walked in on her down for a nap on a dirty cot( o was told it rained the day b4) no excuse for that! When I got my daughter home she had wood chips in her pamper (at home she's fully potty trained) They refuse to take her to the pot! Her clothes were being changed 3-4 times out the week because they said she was peeing out her pamper! They don't wipe runny noses. Even took photos of my daughter knowing I didn't want photos taken even worse didn't clean her face for the photos. My heart hurts for my children because I trusted them to care. Now I get the cold shoulder when I come get my children which makes it very awkward, but that's very unprofessional. I thought they would use my concerns as a coaching to improve care not make it difficult and force my family out. OAN if your looking for incident reports to know when your child hurt themselves you won't get that either! Good thing my son can talk I picked him up from care with busted lips and a scratched eye and had to ask my son what happens then the teacher will verbally explain

The food, as well as the school, are sometimes mid and sometimes the best…read more Arriving here in early august of last year I was hesitant, traumatized by the rather repelling choices of food in middle school. But here I am. Alive and well in April of 2023. Some of the food here at west is the most repelling you've ever had, mystery meats on what seems like off-brand fake rice. Milk that doesn't seem trustable. But there's another side to the food, the best you've ever had. (There's no in between). I'll start with the nachos. They are the thing that has so many varieties that nobody expects. Some of these being taco salad, just simply add taco sauce to it and mix it all up. Or just eat them traditionally. It goes crazy on a Monday either way. But don't ruin it and eat it every day of the week. Then it tastes bland and gets old fast. Secondly, the daily "special" area. The food here is where you have to be careful. Inconsistent and most of the time, rather mid, the food here is a force to be reckoned with. Most of the questionable food is served here, make sure to avoid anything on rice or what looks like rice, usually the "rice" sucks the moisture out of it and it is dry. But make sure to visit when they serve stuff such as the Buffalo chicken, burger bar and fries , or also the mac and cheese . Third, the chicken sandwiches and the "pizzas". The chicken sandwiches are a very reliable and solid food choice if you want, especially the spicy ones. Same with the burgers. But When the Nashville hot chicken sandwiches are out, go straight for them, they are better than chick fil'a and are fire . But avoid pizza imo. Some people swear by the school pizza, but I think it sucks personally. It is fr mid and not that good. Lastly, the sub bar and ice cream (). The sub bar is straight heat and never misses, with the realest food of all and straight fire choices, you can't go wrong with it. The school also sells ice cream for $1.50. It is the best snack out of any school food sold and is fresh, creamy, and I love it. The only way to truly describe it is S teir

I especially love how thoughtfully they balance academics with practical, real-life skills--gardening, caring for themselves, and learning to take care of their classroom and environment. It feels like they're helping the kids grow into capable, curious little people, not just teaching them letters and numbers. Communication with families is wonderful, and I really appreciate all the little things they provide, like breakfast and snacks and a cute outdoor playground the kids love. You can tell so much thought goes into what and how the children are learning. Most importantly, my daughter is genuinely happy to go to school. In her own words, she "loves Ms. Mary and Ms. Colleen because they're nice." As a parent, there's really no better endorsement than that. We feel very lucky to have found this school!

I don't know what I would do without Ms Mary and Ms Colleen!…read more Wood Violet teachers and her classmates have been such an amazing part of Sophia's life for the past year! We had a terrible experience with a Montessori school prior to joining Wood Violet and I am very glad to see a school sticking to a true Montessori education. Mary and Colleen are very engaged in helping me make sure Sophia grows up as an independent but caring and compassionate individual. I think we are succeeding! I love that I am able to pack Sophia's lunch everyday as it is important to me to know what she's eating regularly. Our daughter was about 75% potty trained as she started there and in two weeks these two angels had her at 100%! Their patience and kindness will forever be appreciated! We also love the fact we know every family that attends. I am not one for huge schools. I think a lot of the personal connections get lost when physical places are too big, with too many students and teachers stretched thin. This mighty little school is perfect for us! It breaks my heart when I drop Sophia off and I kiss her and she's off! lol No crying for mommy, just gone and playing with her friends before I have closed the door. I can focus on my business during the day as I know Sophia is being loved and cared by two amazing teachers!

The Ballard KinderCare is a great location. I have two daughters that have been going to this…read morelocation since the infant room (2012) and we couldn't be happier. The teachers truly care about our kids and our kids love the staff (even with teacher changes which is expected in this environment, they hire great staff time and time again). The curriculum they offer at each age level is perfect. The daily sheets were always nice to get when the girls were young so we were able see what was going on. The sheets also gave us a place to start dinner conversation with the girls. Now, they think they just get to "play" all day but little do they know they are learning - love it! The other thing that our family likes about KinderCare is the flexibility. We certainly pay more for this flexibility but when you have a job that fluctuates on a regular basis it's hard to depend on one person and some locations you pay for your spot no matter what - here I'm able to take the girls when I need to and it's nice; I don't have to stress over paying money for time I'm not using but know I can count on them when something comes up and I have to take them there last minute. All of these things combined are great but the most important is that our kids are happy and healthy and that gives me the ability to go to work knowing they are in good hands!

The teachers are amazing and they spend lots of personal time with each child. Our daughter loves her teachers and friends. She gets sad when it isn't time to go to school on the weekends. I would recommend this center to anyone.  Every family and child is made to feel they are most important ones. The center is run with a professional but fun atmosphere. One of the best examples I can give of how amazing the center and teachers are is one day when our daughter couldn't find her blanket. No less than 7 teachers and both the director and the assistant director helped us look for 30 minutes until it was found. Simply above and beyond! I have never once seen this center in any shape other than impeccable cleanliness. It's amazing how well maintained it is. It has been a joy to watch our daughter flourish at this center. We look forward to many more great years here!
