My wife and I wanted to get matching Skeleton tatts for our 10 year anniversary We had been to Fort Myers a few times in the recent past and we really enjoyed the vibe it is putting out. We visited a couple of shops in the downtown area and eventually ended up at this one. They were appointment only but we explained we were only in town for a weekend, so they were gracious enough to accommodate! We submitted the art we we're looking for by email, less than 10 minutes later we had quotes and an appointment for the very next morning Our Guy was G.B. He was also the guy who was so quick to reply and work with us via email. So obviously this guys is a world class artist, but he was also one of the coolest human beings we ever met. The shop is meticulous and clean, they do piercings etc We are going to make a yearly pilgrimage each year on our anniversary Pictures to follow once we remove the covers. read more

Have had great experiences getting pierced by Sydney and Codi!! Would definitely recommend :)

Came here Friday the 13th to get pierced. Didn't have an appointment but was served quickly. Had inner conch piercing changed too. Got my hidden helix done. 14K white gold jewelry. Piercing cost $13, jewelry was 13% off. I'd recommend this place if you're in Ft Myers. Street parking was like $2. The shop is very open and clean. I think the quality is good. Mike did an awesome job changing my jewelry and piercing me. read more

Words cannot describe how AWESOME Maddy is! I came as a fresh-faced, never-before-tatted walk-in and she got me in so quickly! I told her what I wanted--Mr. Saturn from the video game Earthbound--and she manifested exactly what was in my head. She made my first tattoo experience SO enjoyable and easy. She has a light hand and a great art style, and I absolutely intend to go to her for my next tattoos. I walked out grinning from ear to ear! I love my little guy so much. Thank you, Maddy! read more

Needed to have one ear repierced. The ear was originally pierced with a gun, about 50 years ago and due to an illness it grew shut. I made an appointment with them because of the fantastic ratings by other customers. Mike was just fantastic walked me through everthing they do. No gun piercing just a gentle needle! I never realizzed when he did it. Got 2 trainer earrings one for each ear so they would match! Very clean building, door is kept locked to the outside all the time after you are admitted. Appointents are done on-line, very easy. IF I every want another piercing this is the only place I would go. By the way I am a 76 year old that's been married for 52 years today. My husband has given me beautiful earrings over the years and I truly have missed wearing them for about the past year. They truly are Needful Things!!! Thanks Mike! read more

I got my nose pierced with Codi on December 27th and it was a great experience. The shop was full of professional individuals and Codi was quick, informative, friendly, and knowledgeable. Thank you for everything. The shop was also very clean and organized. See you guys soon for my follow up. read more

I took my 14 year old daughter in to have her ears pierced (her first piercing ever). We were a bit nervous as many piercing and tattoo places are a bit scary for a 14 year old girl. Piercing Pagoda/Claire's at the mall seemed more our speed, but I did some research and felt that the process used (with hollow core needle) was a superior method vs a piercing gun. So after some further research, I opted for Needful Things. Here is what we experienced... Highly professional. They required that I sign and notarize a permission form from the State of Florida (for underage kids), and checked IDs when we got there. Extremely Clean. The place is immaculate. The piercing room is like a doctors office! Communication. They were super helpful and educated us throughout, from the time that I first called to the moment I walked out the door. We felt empowered and know what to do with the aftercare and am confident that if we need them for anything, they are a phone call away. They even handed us a card with all the important information - including specifics to what was done (needle size, etc.), who performed the work, etc. for future reference. Kind and Patient. Robert was simply the best. He made sure she was on -board every step of the way. Helped us with the stud selection. Allowed me to be in the room with them, checked and double checked that the holes were perfectly placed. Seriously, he was over the top careful and sensitive to the fact that she had never been pierced. My daughter said it did not hurt at all - and is sooo happy with the results. Worth every penny and so glad we found Needful Things! Thanks for the amazing service! read more

Silus did an amazing job! It was a difficult task matching up my nostril piercing to ensure that they were symmetrical, Silus went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect, her and the team. Silus was very thorough and knowledgeable and I appreciate her dedication to the craft. I have never been to a place so professional, I will be back for a few more piercings for sure. I recommend Silus and Needful things 100%. Also consider tipping well, I'm sure it goes a long way after the impact of hurricane Ian on the shop and it's employees. read more

Great, friendly first impression upon walking in. Robert did me and my friend's bellies. This place was very clean and organized. The room was thoroughly cleaned between each of our piercings which made it very comfortable. This piercing is practically painless and picking out our jewelry was so fun. He went through aftercare with us and gave many helpful suggestions on cleaning and what activities to stay away from! Highly recommend trying this place even if you were like us and staying in cape coral. read more

Just a great update! Went back to get my nose stud checked and changed , this time Robert the owner did the change. My second experience was even better than the first if that is possible. What a nice man with tons of patience.. my friend came with me and she got her nostril piercing and he helped her get in her belly button piercing she was having a hard time with! He explained even more and helped me choose another nose stud since I wanted a teeny tiny one! I am so happy I can't express it enough! Both Codi and Robert are the best! I'm a baby so if I want a change I'm going back to them even though I left feeling confident I could do it myself..I just feel comfortable in using them for my piercing needs!lots of jewelry to choose from too! Plus this place is immaculate! read more

There are better places near, or in the area to get pierced, or jewelry for your piercings. The guy working there was rude, and entitled. The jewelry selection is lacklustre, and the quality is even worse. I had purchased jewelry from there, and it broke in less than a week. Save your time and your money, and go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately I was recommended to come to this location for a Piercing. Made an appointment online and got there 20 minutes early. The gentleman who attended us was beyond RUDE. We had to leave to get a paper notarized since the one we took apparently was not what they required. Finally found a place to do as such. Returned to location now we are 20 minutes late. So, guess what. They were not able to do the piercing and turned us away. Due to the way we were treated I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND OR RETURN TO THIS PLACE! read more

I am currently working in Florida all the way from California to help the communities of Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island get back in their homes after Hurricane Ian. My 1st born granddaughter will be born early Nov. I will most likely miss her birth due to my deployment obligations in Florida. I wanted a way to honor her entry into world, and a reminder as why i missed her birth. Her theme is Little Mermaid, and i wanted to get Ariel. My hours while here have me off work at 730 pm, which limits my availability of shops open later. I stopped at Art and Soul in Ft Myers, and spoke with Marilyn, she told me that herself and her associates were fully booked for months to come. She referred me to Maddy and her IG page who works at Needful Things in Ft. Myers. I told Maddie my story, my idea and knew immediately that i found the artist for my design. I manipulated my work schedule to make a 5PM appointment , because they close at 7. Maddie is an amazing artist, and i am fully honored and glad she was able to tattoo this significant in my life. Thank you Maddie read more

I've seen Codi two times now for piercings and both times have been wonderful experiences. He is professional and calm so it makes the process very easy. As a nurse, I pay attention to cleanliness a lot when I'm getting things done to my body and Codi is so careful. My first two piercings I got with him healed so well following the care instructions he gave. Can't wait to go back again after my piercings from today heal up! read more

I have been wanting to get my thirds (lobes) pierced for YEARS and finally decided to do it while I was visiting my sister! Codi pierced both me, my mom, and my sister's ears and was super nice and helpful! He answered every single question we had and made sure we were okay throughout the process of the piercing! I would totally recommend Codi and Needful Things for piercing and I will 100% be coming back for all my piercings in the future! read more

I highly recommend this shop for all of your body modification needs. The staff is extremely courteous and professional. The shop is always very clean, and the atmosphere here is very homey. The talent of both the tattoo artists and piercers is over the top. If they don't feel comfortable with completing your request, they will NOT use you as a guinea pig. When my 16 year old daughter wanted to get a pair of 'snakebites' (two lower lip piercings), all of the proper and legal documentation that's required was completed in a professional manner. Kendra was very kind and thorough with the piercing expectations and aftercare before piercing her. My daughter ended up having a completely positive experience when she was pierced. I refer people who like my artwork to Needful Things, Inc all the time. read more

Love this place. Savanna is doing work on my husband's back piece, we don't get in as often as we would like to continue the work but when we do find the time, she is AMAZING! This started as a house tattoo and she is transforming itno a true masterpiece. Needful Things is as clean as they get! You cannot find a single flaw here. The location allows for them to continue the work and I can browse through some very unique shops, grab a bite or sit by the water and watch boats and people go by. Well worth the wait (she's usually booked months in advance). Although we haven't used the other talented folks here, yet, their customers seem quite pleased as they leave and the work they do is top quality. When I decide what my next work of art will be, I'll be in also! read more

I haven't had any work done here YET! But I absolutely intend to! Had a horrible consult with Articulture Studioz downtown Ft. Myers, walked out and went over to Needful Things a couple of blocks over and WOW was I impressed! Spoke with Codi one of their body piercers, he was fantastic, accommodating, informative, patient, took time to really explain everything did not have any of the arrogant tendencies you often run into in many tattoo shops. Can't wait to start doing business with these gentlemen! True professional! Thank you Needful Things! See you soon Codi! read more

5 Stars for Codi all around great and amazing. I previously had my septum pierced, years prior at a different shop and had a horrible experience. I let Codi know my concerns and fears. I was extremely nervous and worried because of my previous experience but he reassured me it wouldn't be like that at all. He took his time to listen to what I wanted. My biggest concern besides the after care was being able to flip the septum up and out of the way during the work week. Codi was very professional, thorough, patient and informative. All through out he explained what he was doing or what would happen. Checking in with me every step of the way to make sure I was doing fine. When he finally got to the piercing part I didn't even feel a thing. Even when he said the hardest part would be putting the jewelry in I didn't feel any discomfort. I was happily shocked and surprised at how quick and painless the whole process was with him. Complete 180 from previous piercing experience. Codi did an absolute phenomenal job with my septum. He takes great care of his clients. He cares about their well being. Even when he could have just made a quick buck with us walking in last minute. He told us to come back the next day so he could give us a better experience and didn't want to rush through the process and give us the best care posible. He's very informative about what he's doing. He's also fixed a couple of my previous piercings done at a different shop, like my tragus (which started to close up) and my daith. Highly recommend Codi. I know I've found my new piercer. Can't wait to go back for next piercing. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here for a nose piercing. I came here for the first time almost a year ago and waited a few months for my piercing to heal before putting a ring in. It ended up looking awful so Codi pierced it again. I had to wait several more months before I could change the stud to a ring and it looks even worse this time. I told him both times that I didn't want to keep a stud in there and that I wanted a ring, so I'm not sure why keeps getting angled so weird. He told me to wait two months before changing it, but both times I'd come in after two months he'd tell me to keep waiting without even bothering to look at it. He said come in after waiting an extra month, but still wouldn't look at it even then. Since he wouldn't even bother looking at it or listening to me, I went to Pleasures of the Flesh. The people there are much friendlier, and actually look and listen. I got it changed that same day. It's really annoying having to wait nearly a year to get a nose ring to look the way I want it to, especially when it costs nearly $100 each time and I ended up going to another shop anyways. read more

When we first arrived, we were ignored. They helped somebody that walked in after us first. I wasn't impressed with their customer service but I made an appointment to talk to somebody about getting my very first tattoo. I was on my way to the appointment when I received a call telling me they had to reschedule. This was 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Apparently the person they scheduled me with wasn't even supposed to be in until 1 and they made my appointment for 11:15. So needless to say I'm very disappointed with this establishment and will be finding a new place to get my first tattoo. read more

I liked this shop as soon as I walked in; clean, courteous staff and reasonable prices.
