I must add something to her Yelp site... "buy some paint, architectural miniature trees, postcards with excellent gentle advice and make a friend." Ornaments are a big money-maker for Hallmark, but every year I have a problem with this store…read more Typically it is an ornament I put on my "wish list" that I didn't get, either through a clerical error or the store didn't receive that ornament. If that happens, it would be nice to be notified of that rather than returning home to find one of the ornaments you wanted is not there. This year, there was a major problem with pricing. I didn't catch this during the purchase, but the store charged me $66 more than the price listed in the catalog for the 10 or so ornaments I purchased. No one from the store alerted me to the fact during my purchase. I had to find out when I returned home. I asked the store a question through their Contact Us feature on their website two weeks ago, no reply yet. Online I am seeing the price increase was due to tariffs. I don't know if that is true, but whatever the reason, it seems to be very poor customer service to sell something for higher than the advertised price.

She asked them for spring flowers thinking they would be pretty pastel colors (and she used to work for a florist so she knows her flowers) but what I got was a very amateur arrangement that looked like they picked up the flowers at Walmart. The arrangement was daisies, RED carnations and some other red flowers that are common fillers, with a red bow. Not very spring like. They were from my daughter so I love them but I'm very unhappy with the flowers in general. My daughter wasn't very happy when I showed her a photo either.

I did enjoy the nicer decor and layout of the store to provide a pleasant shopping experience. As an alumnus, I do appreciate their selection of unique items that you won't really find online, sports store, or at the mall (at least not easily) that includes items like homecoming apparel and disney themed collectibles. Service is pretty quick and while prices could be a little cheaper, they're not outrageous either.
