Very poor service or maybe greeted to someone who has a different ethnicity as me. Anyways, that area was very dim and everything was very expensive. Like, I get other stores with similar prices but nothing made me wow other than wow, they upped the price of a simple snack by a few dollars. It was my first time going to a Natural Grocers ever and first impressions are important. I'll pass.

Getting into the store from an ADA perspective is challenging enough. They have those really large yellow bumps covering most of the entrance walk way yet there is very little walk without having a step so just getting a regular cart out the door non ADA is near impossible but as ADA I got to walk to a store next door and all the way around to go down their angled drop to wheel the cart all the way into the parking lot and back yet I was parked right out front. A bunch of their produce is just downright tragic on top of that. They have a security person who just seems to be seconds from taking a nap. I was getting a bunch of glass bottles of items and did not want them clanging around the box and asking just to maybe add part of the ad on the counter right there and the cashier looked confused. I grabbed one and did it myself. Natural Grocers means you really are on your own to forge for your groceries because zero customer service. This is on Powell though so you get ysed to most of the folks that work in these spots are, unfortunately pretty broken. As it was I witnessed at least two arguments with customers during my drop in. So get in and out if you have to since you really do not want to linger. Better yet, spend less shopping elsewhere.

This review is for my most recent visit and my interaction with people in the store, nothing more…read more Driving north on 52nd the handwritten specials sign outside the newly (ongoing?) remodeled Mr. Nice Guy advertised ozs at the lowest price I've seen in this neighborhood. Naturally I whipped into the parking lot next door (good parking after 5 ish, otherwise the street behind them is quiet with one spot and street parking) and bopped my way to the front door. The door opens to a sliding window where they check id and then buzz you through when it's your turn. I asked about the deal, was shown the product, discussed pertinent information and decided to go for it. At no point did I feel judged or pressured for inquiring about an advertised deal. One of the worst things ever is having an incentive to visit and then feeling shamed for it. Nope, here it was just a simple 'anything else?' and then right to the cash register. I signed up for the rewards program because why not? They used a phone number for reference, not email, and since I never answer my phone anyway spam calls were the last thing on my mind. (I guess a fake number could work long as you remember it.) The transaction was quick, sanitary, safe and easy. In and out in less than 10 min. And, thankfully, quarantine measures were clear and being followed. Aesthetically it's somewhere between cozy lounge and sterile bud bar. Idk what it'll be when they're finished with the face lift, but I do know there's a couple comfy chairs inside so you can wait for your friend who doesn't know the cute bud tender isn't actually flirting, but hey, shoot your shot, I'll be chilling over here.

Good selection and good deals, including rotating daily deals. Employees were friendly &…read moreknowledgeable.

They were having a grand opening on Saturday but I was too ill to go so I went on Sunday. I explained what was happening, sore throat, congestion, headache, cough, etc... and they recommended the mint tea with CBD infusion to help with my symptoms. I ordered it and sat and drank it there while I chatted with the owners. They are also brothers so that was super cool. They said they were the only game in town and how did I hear about them since I was traveling and I said Facebook. They were kind, gracious and knowledgeable about herbs and I totally dug that. They also ship all over the country and to Canada which is cool. I shared that I also love the hibiscus plant and they recommended the tea they had so I got some to go. It's a super cute spot and I love supporting local businesses always. Wishing them all the best and I will visit them next time I'm in Portland for sure. Thank you for your help, I did feel so much better after leaving the location.
