    New Minimalism

We recently moved from a small apartment in SF to a larger house in San Rafael. As new homeowners,…read morewe didn't realize how quickly the clutter could pile up, and before we knew it, we felt like we were in an episode of hoarders (especially our garage). This had a severe impact on me, as a cluttered space actually can have much more of an impact on your ability to focus, stay organized, or even be present. For more information, I'd recommend their book, New Minimalism (https://www.amazon.com/New-Minimalism-Decluttering-Sustainable-Intentional/dp/1632171325). Kyle and team do a great job of identifying the root cause of the problem, which in this case is a messy house without any systems in place, and trace it back to your personality type and behavioral patterns. So, not only did they help us get rid of everything in a responsible way, and donate everything possible, but they created systems for us to use moving forward. Don't get me wrong, its not like your house becomes permanently pristine, it requires continued efforts to instill new habits based on the systems of organization. One thing we have noticed the most, is that when we do decide things have gotten messy and we need to do a house cleaning, it takes a lot less time and it stays pristine looking for much longer. I would recommend working with Kyle, especially if you constantly find yourself disorganized or losing things, or if you just have to much stuff and don't know what or how to get rid of it. To some, this may not seem so important, but I have realized that having an organized and space was a game change for me. Also, Kyle and her team are cool and fun to work with, which helps. And they are NOT judgmental, because it can be a bit intimidating.

Combine this with a…read morereally long narrow closet and a bunch of clothing I've had since High School, it makes getting dressed almost impossible. I end up wearing the same yoga pants and shirts because they're the easiest to grab. After working with Kyle and Cary it's not just that my closet is amazing (like straight out of a magazine) but it's made my whole experience in the morning different. I'm back to dressing in clothes that I love, trying out new outfits, showing up places proud of how I look. Cary helped me find humor and have so much fun around the things that I kept but never wore. Now I'm down to about 40% of my former wardrobe, but I wear 100% of the items and get compliments on my style all the time. Kyle seriously made my closet look like a boutique. She helped set up a beautiful mirror that reflects natural lighting so I can try on all my jewelry in the closet. She even got a little stool so I can sit in the closet and feel like I'm in an elegant dressing room. Could not recommend New Minimalism more!

Working with Results At Last during one of the most difficult periods our family has faced was…read morenothing short of a gift. Our situation was complex on multiple levels. The home required significant decluttering and reorganization, and this work was taking place while a loved one was experiencing a serious medical crisis and extended hospitalization. Emotions were high, decisions were layered, and the work itself carried real emotional weight. Madison met all of this with remarkable professionalism, clarity, and compassion. From the outset, she demonstrated exceptional leadership--setting a calm tone, creating structure where there was overwhelm, and guiding her team with confidence and respect. She handled a deeply cluttered and emotionally charged environment with care, discretion, and zero judgment, ensuring that both practical needs and human sensitivities were honored throughout the process. Her communication was clear and reassuring, her judgment impeccable, and her presence grounding during a time when many people involved were under significant stress. She didn't just organize a home--she created order, safety, and breathing room when it was urgently needed. If you are facing a complicated situation--especially one that intersects with illness, grief, or major life transition--I cannot recommend Madison and Results At Last highly enough. Their work goes far beyond decluttering. It is thoughtful, dignified, and deeply supportive. We are profoundly grateful.

Results at Last is the first one that actually showed up with a real team and got things done. Madison and her crew started with the dining room and kitchen, and after just one session, I could use and enjoy the space again for the first time in a long while. I had a lot of ground to cover, so we booked multiple sessions, and every area they touched came out feeling brand new. Genuinely nice, easy people to work with throughout. Highly recommend.

He left the last job on which he was supposed to fix some blinds that he hung lop sided. They looked great except the mechanism that raises and lowers them no longer works on one side. It is a fight to get it up or down. Erik left without saying a word about it and won't return to correct his error. I guess I should have checked it out with all the mistakes he's made lately. I had his help with a recent move and he did not follow directions well at all. He didn't put the cat drinking water fountain in the car like he had been asked to. Instead he put it in his truck and broke the main ceramic dish. Then he didn't tell us about it until I texted him two days later when I couldn't locate it to set it up. If he had been a professional and let us know we could've ordered a replacement immediately. He helped pack a room for me but ended up making the unpacking so much more difficult because he added the numbers 1 and 2 to the boxes. Those were my numbers for boxes to be opened immediately. Because he added them to another 15 boxes I ended up with a huge stack that had to be unpacked in order to get to the ones that really did need to be unpacked immediately. He was supposed to set up the TV but didn't have the connection cables and didn't ask me for them. So I ended up doing it myself early the next day before Comcast came out. He set up a portable air conditioner without the drain hose which caused some stuff to get wet. I've had someone else fix this. Erik strung us out for hours and completely bailed on one occasion.

When I called Erik to inquire about this, I was impressed with how he started to brainstorm the best ways to pull this off. When I met him for the delivery of the antique piece, I was more impressed with his creativity and thoughtfulness in how best to carefully get this into my home without damaging it. He's an excellent communicator and very easy to work with.
