I arrived home after a 12hr shift to find an entire trunk was removed from my beautiful mature clump birch tree in the front yard. The trunks will not grow back because they are designed this way. The tree Was ruined and had to be replaced. It could not be replaced exactly in the same place because there was concern removing the roots could damage the homes foundation. So a hydrangea tree also had to be removed to plant the new birch tree. I contacted the owner several times to resolve and he refused to do anything. I do have a claim against this company that is pending. R

After finishing the big job of trimming 5 very huge trees, everything was left immaculate. They used big wooden runners so the big bucket truck wouldn't hurt the driveway or yard. They were extremely helpful in recommending/supplying modern products that would meet both current building codes and our Historic Review Board approvals . Their expert installation looked marvelous. Over the years it has continued to look and function extremely well and stood the test of time... Much to our dismay, in December of 2025, an in-attentive driver jumped the curb & sidewalk to remove a large portion of the front facing fence. Gleave Construction came to our rescue. With the utmost care and professional workmanship they were able to make a perfect repair of our property. That said, in-spite of having to deal with the Huntington lime stone shards & bedrock, they were able to remove the damaged posts that were set in concrete. And reset new posts and fencing as needed. This included custom fabricating/matching materials used 20 years ago. We could not be more pleased with the valuable services provided by Gleave Construction personnel- the owners, the office staff AND the installers are wonderful people to work with.

They made sure that everything matched our home (such as moldings, casings, and creating a natural look) and truly took the time to make sure that their work was quality. They communicated well throughout the project and finish in a timely manner. I would absolutely hire them in the future for other jobs in our home.
