I must say, the middle eastern food scene in Germany and other parts of Europe are so good. Doesn't make me if you go to a faat good Turkish joint like Nazar or a fancy sit down establishment, the quality of food and the service are top notch. The menu was similar to most middle eastern/Mediterranean restaurants as they served a variety of appetizers from hummus, to tzatsiki and the like to their kabob based dishes featuring lamb, chicken and beef. They also have a variety of sweets like Baklava and the like. This location had two floors where larger parties were escorted upstairs and smaller parties downstairs. What I enjoyed while dining was the fact that the nose levels were rather low, the grill and all the meats wet fully visible while cooking and the variety of choices were immense. The only knock that didn't give this a 5 star review was that none of the menu was not in English, in Turkish, so you had to guesstimate what you were ordering. You could ask the server but their English wasn't the best either. My one suggestion, especially since they are located on a major street with the trolley passing through it and in downtown Hannover is to have an English menu for foreigners. I hate giving 3 stars after only 1 experience but I am bummed that my doner was dry. The service was really good. The people that didn't speak English put forth the effott and they had someone there that could help me decide. The food came out really fast and they didnt ask what I wanted on my doner. I didn't get to eat it until I got back to the room. That's when I learned that that they didn't put any sauce on it :-( The ambiance was casual. Very laid back (street foodish). Maybe I can give another try before I leave Hannover. read more
