I took the bus from Metz to Luxembourg to Charleroi, and when I got on the bus in Metz all was fine, when I arrived in Luxembourg and tried to get on the bus the driver refused to let me on, because my ticket didn't scan properly. I had no money to pay for another ticket, no emergency contact I could get a lift with, and the driver who brought me to Luxembourg refused to take me back to Metz. The driver said 'not my problem', gave me the finger and began driving off. Thankfully a passenger stopped the bus and paid for my fare to the airport (on promise that I would pay her back of course which I did). If you don't speak French the drivers will often insult you (I understand French, just can't speak it). Aside from my personal bad experiences, is the appalling quality of the drivers themselves. They have very little regard for other road users (presumably from tight schedules?), will speed on already busy roads and cut up other drivers without a second thought.
