I notified the Grounds Guys, as did my neighbor. They did nothing about it that day. It continued to rain. The following day, they removed most of the large pile. However, it was too late. The rain washed the dirt into the low area of the yard which had been graded to allow rain to drain through the yard and to the street. Now when it rains, water just pools in our yard. We contacted the Grounds Guys again. John looked at our yard and wanted to give us an estimate- to fix the damage THEY created!!!!! Very unprofessional. I would NOT recommend them. They need to fix the problems they cause. We did not contact them immediately because my husband was in the hospital. By the time we contacted them a couple months later, the swell in our yard was filled and covered with grass causing the water to pool. When John came over to talk to my husband, he dismissed our concerns and did not listen. The water pooling was EXACTLY where the dirt washed down. I had even tried to rake out some of the extra dirt on my own and was able to remove a couple bucketfuls!!! This helped, but there remains a lot of additional dirt. I spoke to another contractor who stated it would be very easy to fix so I really don't understand why The Ground Guys are denying that they caused this and refusing to make it right. WE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL THE NEIGHBORS DIRT WASHED INTO OUR YARD!!!!

I asked Mike to come over and walk through the property with me. First to help identify all the plants, trees, etc. that I now have. Recommend how to best care for them and then what I could do to enhance the framework already in place. It was great! I learned a ton. Mike is both a great teacher and is also enthused about plants and landscaping. One thing I really liked is that he didn't just criticize or point out what was wrong. He also praised the good work that had been done before. Not replacing everything but enhancing it. He also told me what could be done now (in the spring) and other things that should wait until fall. Although he also offers a maintenance contract he didn't push that. In fact he explained how to maintain what I have on my own. Just to call when I need help or for things I don't care to do. He then provided an estimate and followed through exactly as promised. With that experience, I won't look further for a vendor when I need help. I've come to trust Mike, his opinions and his work. And therefore am giving him a 5-star grade.

Everyday After That He Had An Excuse About His Car, A Fire At His House, His Ex Wife Taking Him To Court, He Broke Down On The Side Of The Road, Etc... He WouLd Then Say He Is On His Way, & Would Never Come. On September 2, 2025, I Knew We Had A Problem After He Said He Couldn't Get The Material For The Yard Until September 19, 2025 and I Asked Him Why And He Said Everyone Was Backed Up. I Asked Him Where Did He Get The Rocks From And He Told Me Big Rock. I Called The Company Where He Said He Ordered The Materiall On Yesterday September 3, 2025 & Was Told That Wesley Scott Berry BNB Irrigation & Outdoor Lighting Placed And Order On July 10, 2025 & Never Paid For It. SO no Rocks Or Material Will Be Delivered On September 19, 2024. Took The Proof With Me To Court & Filed A Complaint Against Him & His Business For Fraud, Paid Money & Services Not Delivered & A Refund For The $13,123.00 That Was Paid To Him Plus Interest.
