Most of their skincare products are reasonably priced and in total from getting cleanser, toner, moisturizer, skin lotion, and makeup wipes, it was only about $40USD which was a steal! They even gave me additional discounts which was a promotion they had at the time. They have a membership card that you can join to rack up points when you make purchases. The sales woman that helped me was very helpful and was knowledgeable about the skincare product. Most of the brands they carried were the top brands in Asia and after using their products for some weeks now, I feel that my skin is more hydrated and well taken care of than before. This is a smaller outfit, the Tokyo ones have much more selection, and you can certainly see there is a difference in terms what people in HK are looking for, judging by what they have on offer, but this is pretty neat little store. Quite a funny name I have to say, but the chinese translation of Florida water is actually "dew on flowers"; I can only say that in the late 19th to early 20th century people were far less picky on the translation, or may be they were captivated by the exoticism of a far away state in the USA? Anyways, florida water acts pretty much like a perfume that serves multiple purposes including mosquito repellent and itch relief of the skin in case of bug bites. The colorless liquid has a scent combination of cloves and lavender, i guess this is the smell most often referred as the "smell of grandma". With all due respect, the scent of florida water is so popular that there is a whole line of product sharing similar tone including baby powder, ointment and lotion. Perfect as it is if you are looking for presents during mother's day or your mother's birthday, this is also a good place for visitors to buy souvenirs. For the conveniences of the shoppers, the store has come up with combo sets of several products bound together in gift boxes other than the usual "a la carte" items. Don't get panic because of the name, these are basically fizzy balls that you can put in the bath. The ball will give off bubbles and "flavor" the water before you go in. It's a shame that I don't use the tub often otherwise it would be so much fun watching the bomb to "explode" under the water. You will not get any friendly service or a nice shopping environment to let you choose what you want; its a smash and grab situation where you head in there and just take anything you see as if you were breaking in. The constant number of tourists both inside and outside the shop will also remind you that its not only locals that come here, many come across the border specifically to stock up on these items and there is nowhere else they would choose but this place. This shop is a sight to be seen in a sense, I think a lot of people from abroad will find it interesting how hoards of people are piling into this little shop and literally climbing over each other for some soap. Forget about paying by credit card by the way- its cash only and that's the way it is.
