This is a great customer focussed business. Frantically busy on the day I went in to get my Air Conditioning checked, but each customer was dealt with professionally, and with a great can-do attitude. Would totally recommend to anyone. read more

NRMA MotorServe Tuggeranong
(1 review)
Motorserve Tuggeranong ACT…read more The current staff of Motorserve Tuggeranong who worked on our pride and joy are a bunch of unprofessional idiots who messed up our car bigtime, wasted our time and has caused us undue stress. I challenge Aminder, Chris or any other staff involved with the service of our Range Rover Evoque on the 5th of August 2022 to dispute any false claims that I will mention in this highly negative review! I bought the car in 2020 from a public servant who looked after the car really well and all service records were provided to us. The car was a "push present" for my then pregnant wife. Prior to acquiring the car, the last few services were done by Motorserve Tuggeranong (formerly NRMA) we thought its a good idea to just continue having the car serviced by them since they already know the car. I was very happy with the first few services I had with Motorserve (as you can see by my first review) since some of the staff and mechanics are my regular mountain biking buddies. I made sure to contact them first prior to booking the car for a service so I enjoy that special treatment and knowing that they are skillful and competent mechanics, I always make it a point to request them to handle our car's service requirements. Fast forward to 5 August 2022, my mates no longer work in the Tuggeranong branch. We booked our Range Rover Evoque for its annual log book service expecting the same excellent service we always received despite not having our usual mechanics around anymore. Chris from reception booked the vehicle. Everything was perfectly fine with our car when dropped it off, it took them the whole day to work on it. I believe my car was picked up by my wife approx 5 pm the same day. The next day I asked my wife if they provided an invoice or a report or summary of the services done. She said nothing was provided. All services done before, I was always given a hard copy of the invoice and kept it in the manual book located in the glove box . So I checked the glove box thinking they may have placed it there, I also moved the car inside the garage when I noticed a "Gearbox Fault" warning on the screen (photo attached). My wife called the front desk regarding this and was told it was the main battery that needs to be changed she also asked for the invoice or job details through email. The service cost a whopping $730, the most expensive service we ever paid for. So paying this amount with no idea of what has been done plus a "Gearbox fault" warning message was really frustrating! We booked our car because we trusted their services and for our peace of mind since my wife drives the car daily to work and for school plus childcare pick up. We booked the car for a battery change sometime in December 2022, just before the holidays, expecting that the warning message will be gone, and to also heed their advice that the warning is caused by low battery power. After the battery was changed, the message is still there. So I approached the front desk again, and they couldn't do anything about it and they still could not provide an invoice for the service done in August! Chris even told me that the warning could not have been triggered by the last service and could have been a coincidence. What a stupid and incompetent reply! Not knowing what to do they advised me to contact and book with Land Rover to solve the problem! I took it upon myself to try and find out what might be causing the warning light to appear. I searched posts from different Range Rover Evoque Facebook groups, discussion forums, Youtube videos etc. One common cause is the Auxulliary battery located underneath the passenger glove box. I was talking to a gentleman from the UK regarding this and he gave me a few tips before I go ahead and check. I have NEVER accessed that part of the car since we bought it. The moment I opened it I saw a wire that is disconnected and left hanging. (See Photo) At this point I completely lost it and was fuming mad! That wire is supposed to be connected to the auxilliary battery, I connected it and checked if the message was gone. Lo and behold the warning message was gone!! The way the wire was hidden way way up and under only means one thing that the wire was deliberately disconnected and tampered with.I called Motorserve and as usual Aminder is not available for discussion. We were made to believe that we needed a new battery by disconnecting a wire so they can earn their profit! No other mechanic serviced our car since purchase only Motorserve Tuggeranong did and yet they never accepted responsibility for the hassle and the trouble they caused! We have been patient and respectful up until this day that we realised we were being ripped off by these incompetent and unscrupulous individuals! Please avoid this Motorserve branch by all means!
