I am a full-time worker + parent, and it took me two years and four months to prepare for the EPPP. I found it extremely helpful talking with the counselor, Kristen W, who gave me crucial advice on organizing my study. Although, I did not start the coaching sessions at the beginning of my preparation (a huge mistake). Since I began talking to Kristen (April 2022), my score has improved, and I passed the test. I want to give you an advice. If you use the AATBS package, the first thing to do is book an appointment with a counselor and organize your study plan.

In addition, the teachers are highly unmoving and do not even allow a late assignment when an immediate family member has been in the hospital or even passed away. Most recently, a teacher stated that it would not be equitable to treat students differently in such circumstances. Equality and equity are not the same thing; equity is giving people what they need, versus equality which is giving everyone the same thing. The fact that she did not understand that concept was especially frustrating and alarming considering it was a COMMUNICATIONS CLASS. I strongly urge any and all attendees to research the teacher's name and history on MULTIPLE sources, not just the college's. This institution depends on the ignorance of students in order to pass themselves off as "experts." I use the term "teacher" rather than "professor" since they are clearly not at that caliber. In this particular case, the teacher is Stacy Sloan Graham. We are required to take multiple courses in equity to obtain our degrees. However, this college does not seem to require their educators to practice it.

I called the main hub and told the receptionist that I applied to a full time office role at VC. I clarified that I did not apply at a job fair. I applied online. After 3 phone transfers(after stating clearly what I applied to) I finally got to HR. I offered to provide the job ID to the agent who declined. I went to one of their info sessions and got the picture how they work and the class schedules, etc. This works with my life in every possible way; close to home, evening/weekend classes. Christen has been there every step of the way to answer my questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to further their education while still being able to work a day job.
