Very disappointing outcome with this place. I was referred to University Sleep Disorder Center by…read moreVA ( Veterans Affairs ). VA  in Montgomery is where I've been seen for the last few years for treatment and compliance for my Sleep Apnea. I was needing a NEXUS Letter to show a medical diagnosis for my sleep apnoea and a medical opinion as to the likelihood that it was related to my service in the military. VA will not provided these letters for Veterans and we are forced to get them away from VA. I contacted the Dothan Office on 4/1/26 and they confirmed that they did in fact provide NEXUS Letters as I described. I made an appointment for 4/21/26. My appointment went fine but, seemed to be a bit rushed. I also discovered that they accepted my insurance so, I wanted to start being seen in their office rather than having to continue driving to Montgomery. For the NEXUS Letter, I couldn't use insurance and had to pay $100 for the appointment + $200 for the NEXUS Letter. I paid the $300. I finaly recieved a call from Jewel after making several calls to find out when I would get my letter after being told that it could take up to 10 days. She told me she would have it to me in the next few days and to let her know if anything needed correcting on it after VA sees it.  I received what was title as NEXUS Letter on 5/11/26 but, it was only a Compliance Letter without any medical diagnosis nor medical opinion. This was useless and in NO WAY what VA needed. I attempted to contact Jewel and never got her, I was only able to leave messages for her. I called the Dothan Office and they told me that Jewel had responded and said that no correction would be made and that they would be refunding my money for the NEXUS Letter.  I provided my insurance information and demanded they bill it and refund me my $100 office visit as well. I got a call from billing saying that they were refunding $65 since I had a $35 copay. I told them to return the payment to my insurance company and I'd get a referral from VA so I'd get my $100 back with no copays deducted. I started explaining why and it seemed that the lady was taking notes about my experience. I told her that I would delay my review if this was going to be looked into and I would get a call from management. She assured me that I would. I waited and didn't hear from anyone. 6/16/26 I called again and Garrison had David (Administrator/Partner) call me back. I told him the entire story and he said he'd call me back on the next day or 2 with answers. Today 6/23/26 I called David and got Garrison again that told me David was in a meeting and would have to call me back. David called me and told me that he couldn't help me since I'd already been refunded. I reminded him that I wasnt expecting anything for free and would repay if a real NEXUS Letter was written as VA expected. I'm not sure why that took him 6 more days to figure that out since I'd already told him refunds were being issued. I think maybe just a stall tactic in hopes that I'd cool off after his sweet talk and I'd forget to leave my review. Anyway, I  received the last $100 from them today and I've notified VA of what happened. It seems I'll keep going to Montgomery.
