Read first, judge later. The situation: Myra ( Mt Mazda) overheated, and I needed a tow. I submitted a ticket through Allstate. I had a window of 1 to 3 hours for a truck, and National Roadside was the vendor that took the ticket. Hates the window, but called tos ee what their practical estimate was, and to clarify the location, since I was in a spot without any discernable markers. National Roadside never picked up. They don't have an automated system or a human, and per their voicemail, they did not set up a voicemail box. They suck. I would not utilize their business if it hadn't been done automatically by my insurance. THAT SAID, the guy running the tow truck did na excellent job. He called and verified my location, and projected times, he asked for my Google location to make sure he came to the right place. He had it done in two seconds and my car was already being looked at in the shop I had him deliver it to. He was communicative, courteous, and timely. If only the office he worked for was as well. He is the reason I have two stars. I wish great things for that man. I never got his name, but I appreciate him. Where I broke down had a swing set and it was nice to be on the swings in a fall weekday afternoon with a breeze. So that part was nice too. read more

Paid $180 for a 2 mile tow & waited until their max window of 120mins to give grace as I informed them I was able to pull over in a safe spot & it's a big city, until I received a text at 110m, that it will be another 53 minutes. After previous reviews I figured it's best I cancel service & went with who my boyfriend booked to pick up my car. & it was, within 20mins, for $80. Requested a refund. National North agreed to tow my car through a roadside assistance company. They gave an arrival time of 2:30-3:30 to pick up my car. Around 3:20, I checked the arrival status online and saw their arrival time had been changed to 5:10 pm. I called National North to let the staff know that the place my vehicle was being towed to closed at 7 pm. The staff member said that he would let the driver know. After that, the driver called me and texted me. I did miss the call because I was at work but I called the driver back 7 minutes later. The driver asked me questions about my car which I answered for him. He said that he was on his way and would be there in 35-40 minutes. A couple of minutes later, I received a status message that the tow truck arrived. The tow truck never arrived! I texted back immediately stating the truck had not arrived. I then received a message that that National North could not reach me. I texted back immediately and was then informed that the National North canceled my tow job. I called National North again and spoke with the same staff member I had spoken with about 25-30 minutes prior and he confirmed that the company canceled my tow job because the driver could not reach me. Like I stated above, I had just spoken with the driver. The driver never indicated that my tow job had been canceled and told me he was on his way. The company had all my vehicle information and pickup and delivery information and I had spoken with 2 different employees of the company within 20-30 minutes prior to them canceling because "they could not reach me". They did not adhere to their original pick up time, pushed the arrival time back over an hour and a half and then just canceled. read more

Allstate called these guys out for a flat tire. We were given a 2 hour window but 2 hours later receive a call that he was 30 min away. He showed up 30 minutes later and towed our car 3 miles. I will preface that we were able to drive home with the flat tire so we weren't waiting on the roadside like so many others and we weren't in a rush. We did ask the driver to change the flat but you could tell he wasn't in the mood and just wanted to tow it. He probably makes more money with a tow. I'm not going to knock the review because if we had argued the point, he likely would have changed the tire. Overall, it was a "free" tow. Technically we pay Allstate for roadside assistance and that's what we got. read more

If I could leave a negative score I would! Horrible company. I requested a tow thru Progressive at 1:20 pm on a Monday. My estimated window was 75-105 minutes. After the time lapsed, I called the company. They said they were busy but were on the way and give them 20 min. I was hesitant but did. After that 20 min I called progressive again and they called the company. They guaranteed the guy would be there in 10 min. Did they show in 10 min? NO! I called progressive again to cancel the tow. I'm sure these guys catch a lot of flack for towing offenders for the local municipalities. Well, that's not me, and I can't speak to it. I requested these guys' services, since my vehicle had a bad flat when driving back to Dallas. Driver Anthony came to our rescue (we were already back in Dallas, but he assisted with the tow in our absence). He contacted me when he was en route. He let me know when he arrived. And, while he said oftentimes the company wouldn't tow heavy Teslas, he made an exception for me. He contacted me once the car was delivered to the nearby Discount Tire, let me know where he stored the key, and even took a photo of the car and sent it to me via text! Yeah, wow, he went above and beyond. Like I say, I get that there may be people out there on the receiving end of the tows, but these guys certainly do a good job. If I could put zero stars, I would this company was recommended through my insurance when I first contacted the dispatcher as instructed. He was very rude and unprofessional. When I contacted him the second time he told me the driver was 15 minutes away and would contact me after waiting almost an hour. As of July 29 2025 I was left stranded on reid road for a very very long time! I was waiting a good 5 to 7 hours before I decided to cancel them and call a new company to get/ rescue me. I was originally quoted from the original tow truck ( located on Houston) that they would get at 300pm to 405pm originally. Folks don't use this road side assistance. When you check their reviews it's a one star for a reason . Heck I would give them zero since they kept putting me on hold when I do call back and inquire what happen to their driver . I wasn't given a courtesy text or call saying they needed gas refill or stuck in traffic!? Very not professional and when I am left on the texas heat rating that day at 101 degrees ...come on guys! I have Allstate Roadside assistance. This is the company that they have assigned me to for the second time. The first time I waited 6 hours for a tow. This time a family has currently waited 4 hours, and they still have not shown up. Can anyone recommend a service to me that responds in a timely manner? I will be cancelling my policy. Allstate should not be using this service. My family member is missing a workday because of the lack of service and responsiveness provided. TERRIBLE COMPANY! I am convinced they are scammers. I had them assigned thru Allstate roadside assistance. I waited an hour as they confirmed they were coming after an hour they cancelled the tow and stated they didn't have a truck that could tow my car? I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra, they didn't have a truck to tow a small car! I redid my request thru Allstate for another company, but got assigned them again. I called them back and then he claimed that they were on the way in an hour . I requested roadside assistance, they charged me $486.00 and they said it would take about an hour. After 1.5 hours, I called back and they said they couldn't find anyone to assist me. They would call a tow truck to pick me up. I asked for a refund, since I already have AAA. They said they couldn't refund my money. In my opinion, if you are not able to provide the service that you had requested, then funding should be reimbursed. I was dealing with a Simon Mungai, which could barely speak English and he kept acting as if he didn't understand my request. This is a scam service and should not be used. read more

Absolute scam. Lied about the time frame... spent 4 hours waiting for them while they "tried" to contact the driver. When they finally did, he was 4 hours away and was going to check on a tire in a different state. Had they not said one hour at the beginning, I would have come up with a different plan. Then, after I cancelled the service, they charged me 478 dollars and then 401 dollars. I demanded a refund and the refunded both but then a month later, billed me 400 dollars again. And of course, now the customer service rep I was in contact with no longer has an email address (I pray she found a job with a real company). These people are thieves. Straight up criminals. Wish I could leave zero stars. Had a blow out in RockSprings, TX on a trailer. Called National Roadside and paid $831.92 for a trailer tire and service. Service took 5 hours to arrive and then days later we were charged another $421.16. Called and asked for the second charge to be refunded since we didn't authorize it. No response so I filed a claim through my bank. On day 29 after filing my claim, they come to VISA with documentation and invoices for the charges. Of course, we never received anything from them. We called insurance and then they claimed they would be there in 19 minutes. They claimed they were stuck in traffic but there was little traffic nearby. It seems pointless to work with these guys. So on Tuesday of this week . From 300 to 405pm according to their roadside assistance text message I was told they would rescue me ( I was stranded on Reid road) and they never got to me! I waited for many many hours. HORRIBLE!! Allstate should NOT use this company as part of their Roadside Assistance Service. This is now the second (and last) time they've been contracted by Allstate for towing service for us. First time we had to wait over 6 hours for a tow. Today, almost 5 hours in and we decided just to cancel. Every time we would call National Roadside for a status of the tow truck, they would say, "Oh it'll be 20-30 minutes." LIARS! We have roadside assistance and I had a flat tire. We contacted roadside assistance and they dispatched this towing company to pick up my van and bring it to our dealership to replace the tire. Should have been a quick and easy fix, and it would have been if this tow company had done their part. The service was requested at 2:16pm, and had an estimated window of 75-105 minutes initially. Our dealership, BayWay, sent a shuttle van to pick up me and my three kiddos and bring us to the dealership to wait on the tow truck. The shuttle was very quick and arrived within minutes. At 3:36 the tow company told us they'd be there in 34 minutes. So we waited... and they did not arrive. At 4:40 they revised their ETA to 20 minutes. They finally picked up my van at 5:07 according to their tracker. And they finally arrived at the dealership at 5:36.... 3 hours after the initial contact and over an hour beyond the highest estimate from the initial window of time. While we were waiting on the tow truck, the dealership offered to shuttle us home after several hours because it was taking so long and didn't look like it would be able to be done today. 3 hours wasted and still don't even have my tire fixed because they took so long getting it to the dealership. read more
