The Golf Dome off Macleod is the home of the National Golf Academy. The dome itself boasts over 50,000 square feet, complete with 33 range stalls, two golf simulators, putting green, fully licensed, and of course, specializes in Golf Instruction for all levels of golfers.
History
Established in 1995.
Since 1995, the National Golf Academy has instructed tens of thousands of golf lessons for all ages and abilities in both private and group formats.
Starting its operations out of the Riverside Club in 1995, the NGA expanded its business in 2001 and built the Grand Golf Centre in downtown Calgary in the famous Grand Theatre.
In 2004 the NGA was contracted by the City of Calgary Golf Course operations to redevelop all City of Calgary Golf Programs operating out of Shaganappi, Confederation Park and McCall Lake golf courses.
In 2007 The National Golf Academy struct a deal to operate full time out of the South Golf Dome.
The Golf Dome off Macleod is the home base for all instruction services offered by the NGA operating out of the Dome, Shaganappi, Confederation Park and McCall lake.
Meet the Manager: Terry C.
Terry has been instrumental in instructing some of Canada's top amateur, professional and National Champions, such as Riley Fleming, Dustin Risdon, James Love, James Muir, Grant Fuhr and many more.
Notables
Terry was voted the 2009 and 2004 PGA of Alberta Teacher of the Year by his fellow PGA professionals, was nominated for the prestigious 2007-2008 Golf Magazine top 100 instructor in North America award, and is a top 50 Golf Instructor in Canada.
Terry has operated the Academy out of numerous facilities such as the Riverside Club, the Grand Golf Centre, and the McCowan's Golf Dome. The NGA now operates out of The NGA Dome year round as well as at Shaganappi, Confederation Park, McCall Lake and Lakeview Golf Courses throughout the golf season
