Excellent work. However, being able to speak to the salesperson was difficult once the sale was done. The draft had to be approved by the HMO, and the paver placement draft was not what we had agreed on. About 3 drafts were made before the company got it right. The brick layers did an excellent job, however I was out all day supervising the work, as they were not following the draft. I called the salesperson and he never returned my call. I had the work stopped, and a knowledgeable brick layer came. I explained what I wanted, and he directed and staid with the workers until the job was finished. I was very unhappy not having a person, overseeing the job. It was not until I stopped the workers from continuing the job, that the installation started to improve. If I had known that a responsible person was not going to be at the job site, I would have never used this company. read more

I decided to put in a paver driveway and a large backyard patio with curving walkways. I got three quotes and decided on using National Brick Pavers because they came highly referred. I dealt with David Gordon from the first step of getting my quote through the completion of the project. On the rare occasion he wasn't available, I dealt with Mena in the office. I was always able to reach someone if needed. Once the contract was signed the project moved at lightening speed. The installers showed up on time and kept me informed of their progress and what the next step in the process would be. Dave followed up with me by phone at the start and end of each day. He also made regular visits to check on the job. The most impressive thing was how quickly the city inspectors approved the job. They came by and approved it within a couple of days!! I learned how important it is to use a company the city trusts. My pavers are beautiful and I enjoy them everyday. One year after the installation, during one of the bad rainstorms, I had a small problem with the edge of one walkway. I called Dave and within 2 days he had someone at my house to fix the issue. The surprising thing was he didn't charge me. What company does that?!?! I can't say enough about this company and their entire team. probably the worst company I've ever worked with. installed my driveway incorrectly and they wouldn't close my permit out because of it. also, when they cleaned the driveway when finished they damaged all the bricks because the power washer was too high and I have Chicago brick. it chipped and left run marks on all the bricks. they won't call you back unless it's to come get a check. stay far away from this company. they'll also offer pool services...don't even get me started on that. we are over a year into that project with National Pools and they have still yet to finish the job. this company is a DISASTER read more

We were very happy with having National Brick Pavers redo our pool deck that was done by our pool company, but had settled and dropped over the years. They came in and were able to remove and completely reset the existing pavers and support it with concrete and rebar along the edges where it's still is level after quite a few years. The reason we chose them is because our neighbors probably 25 years earlier had to use them to do their driveway and it still looked like day one as far as being level and perfectly intact. So we also hired them to do our paver driveway and we're very happy with the way it came out. They take the extra time to do it correctly so they don't have to come back and promised to come back in the future if it were needed. read more

I had a large tree near my driveway whose roots were lifting up my pavers over a wide area. I called National Brick Pavers and they came out to give me an estimate the same day. They coordinated scheduling of the job with my schedule. They did the job in one day and after they replaced the pavers it was impossible to tell they had been lifted up in order for them to correct the problem. I must strongly advise against considering National Brick Pavers for any project based on my incredibly disappointing experience with them. Despite handing over a substantial 1/3 deposit on Oct 3rd, my expectations were shattered by their abysmal service. Initially recommended by a friend who spoke highly of them, I had hoped to add to their purported good reviews, but alas, my encounter was nothing short of a nightmare. The owner, Dave, who appeared charmingly persuasive during the sales pitch, promptly vanished from the scene, jetting off abroad for an entire month after pocketing my deposit. Consequently, my project didn't commence until Jan 8th--yes, a staggering 3 months later! It became painfully evident that while Dave excels at reeling in customers with his sales tactics, his commitment to actual service is woefully lacking. To compound matters, they subcontracted the job to another entity, Performance Pavers, whose workers toiled diligently despite grappling with a barrage of miscommunications originating from National Brick Pavers. Enter Ed, supposedly assigned to "manage" the project--except he was a colossal failure in that regard. His sole interest seemed to be in collecting payments, showing up just twice during the entire ordeal only to pick up a check, leaving me to deal with the fallout when they ruptured my main waterline within the first hour of breaking ground. I was forced to manage the project from day one until completed. Not only did this negligence result in significant inconvenience for me, but it also incurred fines from the city for flouting installation codes--twice! Their lack of accountability was further underscored by their failure to even inspect the finished driveway. I promptly removed their sign from my property, determined to spare my neighbors from a similar ordeal. While it's conceivable that National Brick Pavers may have satisfied some customers, my harrowing encounter serves as a stark warning against entrusting them with any project. Their purported 35 years in business belie a concerning pattern of prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and seek out a more reputable alternative--If I had it to do over I would choose a company that actually cares about me as a customer or maybe one with less hands in the pot so that at least someone could take responsibility and see to it to completion read more

They were absolutely terrible. Lawrence never got the permit for my job. I found out because I got a violation notice from the county, I then had to scramble to get the permit done on my own. Lawrence also ordered the wrong brick color, I had to call him over and over just to get him to order the correct one. He was avoiding my calls so I had to speak to other people in my office. I personally had a horrible experience with this company, I would never use them or recommend them. read more

They did my yard pavers bad all tiles are loose and hollow they've re grouted about 4 times and grout keeps coming off within days they refuse to fix the issue by redoing the bad foundation instead there solution(Laurence) is keep re grouting and chipping the tile for the next 3 years till the warranty is over so they've left me no choice but to sue them be careful with this company.. read more

terrible experience with the salesman until the owner got involved. they did the work as contracted but after it was finished I had some areas of patio that sunk. had a difficult time getting them to come back and fix the bad areas. finally they came back and fixed only partially the sunken areas. it's now been over 2 years and still not fixed everything that had sunk. I had the company install the pavers, and Laurence who is apparently part owner, was the rep in charge. The work went fine (I hope they do keep the warranty they offer, for pavers are always finicky), except for breaking three pipes (I would have appreciated them telling me that was a possibility), so I had to pay extra to fix them and the sprinklers. The problem started after I had paid. I received an NTO (notice to owner) from a company they buy the pavers from, for they were apparently late in paying this company (I paid National when the job was finished). In Florida a company can lien you if the contractor does not pay the people they work with, even if you, the client, has paid them. I had to ask my lawyer what to do, and he advised me to ask them for a lien release. National took two weeks after my notice to them to give me a lien release; no apology; no explication as to why I was liable for the company not paying their supplier; and I was never told what the real problem was. On the contrary, they did not answer the phone, nor return the call, answer my many emails asking when had they asked said company for the release and, when I asked National what was going on, they replied that the company with the NTO had to give the lien release and that they had requested it from this company. Upon calling the paver company (a week after I contacted National with this situation) I found out that National did not ask for the release for they still had not paid the company who sold them my pavers. I understand that contractors have credit accounts and that they may sometimes be a bit late in paying, fair enough. I object to the lack of explications, the incomplete information once given, and the abismal customer service and lack of caring about a problem their accounting department caused. The first step would have been someone explaining clearly what was happening, as opposed to "we will take care of it," and taking two weeks to give me a release which is due upon final payment. Second, I would have expected someone to engage in customer service by apologizing and not being defensive about the whole situation. Third, if they know there is a possibility NTOs are sent to clients, the best way to handle this is to tell clients in advance and outline the procedures to solve this unfortunate situation. If you do not do this as a company, you cannot expect the client to not worry when he-she is not given a release, which is a standard procedure and should happen within a day of asking for it. My driveway pavers are not worth the headache and the added expense, for if you hire a company, you expect them to cross the t's and dot the i's. It is not my job to do theirs. read more
