I just started a new job in Marion and needed to find a good place to get my hair cut stat! A good…read morebarber is hard to find but I took my chances on one of the few places reviewed in Yelp! with a five star rating. I'd like to personally thank that Yelper! for posting his review because I can attest that Chris, the owner of Corner Barber shop, who cut my hair is a great barber and one who, I might add, knows some great music! When I arrived Chris was just finishing up his lunch. I was the only one there and he got me right up in the chair. He immediately turned off his tv and put on some .38 Special/Classic Rock radio, which I think, is by far, the best music there is! It was really cool to see all of the classic rock album covers all over the barber shop and Chris and I discussed various things during the time he gave me a trim, including of course, some of the great rock bands of old. Chris did a fantastic job on my hair and, although he doesn't typically do so, he did give me a good neck shave as well (which is available upon request). His price was a very reasonable $13 for my hair cut and I was in and out of the shop in 20-25 minutes. Great prices, great company and speedy service, I think I have found my barber in Marion. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone in the area for a haircut!

Toni is a true professional whose diligent and gentle treatments have permanently eradicated the…read moreexcessive facial hair that has plagued me for twenty years. Her flexible and easy scheduling allowed me to come after work or on Saturdays with minimal life disruption and maximum privacy. Success was achieved by following Toni's recommended plan of weekly sessions until my facial hair went through its growth cycles. From there, I scaled back to every other week, then monthly. This took about eight months, but everyone is different and my case was severe. Now, I pop in every few months for a touch up. While the process isn't super fun, there are numbing creams to help ease the short-lived discomfort. Mostly, the relief of going on vacation without worrying about hair growth and facing aging with one less stressor made it worthwhile. Because I had been plucking for years, I had never seen how severe my facial hair situation was. At first, it seemed like the same hair was growing back over and over, but it was new hair cycling through. With patience and persistence, she worked through one follicle at a time until all the offenders were dead. My face feels smooth and great. I get a lot of time back that I used to spend on plucking and waxing and worrying about waking up from a coma with a full mustache and goatee. Thanks, Toni!
