    Had this insurance company for almost 4 yrs. decided to cancel for reasons that my policy keeps…read moregoing up it seemed every three months. Asked to have my policy canceled and still being charged for money which should not be owed as well as $105.93 more than the monthly payment which went from 208.00 a month to 305.00 a month. Why would a person be asked to pay more than what the monthly premium was supposed to have been? State Farm is the worst!!! I will continue to do reviews until I get results. The Agent gave me a number for support to which they know only they could access. I discovered this through the State Farm main number when calling the number they gave me to which the main hub informed me they know I cannot speak with a support from the number they gave...only the Agent could because it is an agent only number. DO NOT GET State Farm...only concerned about sales and how to take your money. To add, my home is worth only $80,000.00 and to get a policy that was triple more than the home...someone tell me if that was a good thing or bad??? There is so much more...However, I will continue to post until I get results as to why I am being charged funds I should not have to pay and the Agent does not know why I am being charged more than what the monthly policy was...but to receive a letter months later after the account was canceled is suspicious within itself...let alone charge me more than what my monthly payment was. Remember, insurance will not let a person go more than a three or four days grace period before they cancel your policy. And yet, I am being asked to pay more than what my monthly policy was...GO FIGURE!!! The problem was that I did not look at State Farm reviews before purchasing for reasons that when I started with State Farm they made the policy sound good until examining my needs and policy closely and personally sitting down with the owner and agent to find out all I am paying are funds and no satisfaction with results on what need to be covered...BE WARE!!! When I get satisfaction as to why I am paying more than what they say I owe...I will continue to post.

    I recently contacted Higginbotham about current coverage on a policy, written on a home I'm…read moreinterested in purchasing. The coverage is transferable (which is cheaper than a new quote) but I needed to add additional coverage to the policy. The "Commercial Lines Support" aka receptionist, Emma Choat, was by far the worst customer service I've had in any company at this level. The list of unprofessionalism is long. After 4 days of waiting for a quote, I finally said forget it before I lost my opportunity to put in an offer on a house that had multiple offers waiting. I called my own insurance agent and got a new quote in 5 minutes over the phone. If I had this much trouble with some one just trying to get a modified quote on existing insurance, I can't imagine what dealing with them after a storm would be.

He tried to call them 9 times over a period of 3 days leaving message after message that were not returned. Not normal customer service. We received the notice that the insurance was cancelled 10 days after it was. Dear L-rd above! I tried to call them at three different numbers this morning and no answer. So my husband called the BBB and the BBB never heard of them. I was listening to all of this. So sad to treat customers this way. We got another agency as soon as we found out. The man who worked for this company called us and tried to tell my husband the customer was wrong and would not listen to the truth. So sad indeed. Please read the book of James in the New Testament that teaches about business relations or the red in Revelation. We know no one wins in these kind of situations. No responses from them when we needed them. They even lied. They made it unclear what they needed or wanted. They proved they did not care. I doubt they even read their reviews to learn how to improve.
