The Dr explained how they process would go in great detail then her office staff when over the insurance part with me . I went home and discussed with my husband we waited a few weeks before coming back . I called the office and told them we would proceed right before school started . I have expressed my willingness to spend a lot of money to get my teeth to look like I don't work on a pirate ship, and they have only told me that we'll worry about that later. If they were grabbing for my money I'd have a basket full of brochures by now. And I know they aren't lying about my cavities because I saw the x-rays and it doesn't take an expert to know that teeth shouldn't look like Swiss cheese. Horrible practice, my sons had braces done here. They charge for everything, spent an additional…read more$500 on broken brackets. When I brought this up they have a homemade sheet stating that they use the strongest adhesive allowed, red flag number one. I had to return so many times because the assistant who did the adjustments left jagged wires. I have spoken with several other practices that do not charge for broken brackets. Now let's move on to the professionalism, the Dr accused my son of eating food that caused the broken brackets, don't dare speak to a teenager that way, if you have an issue speak to the parent. In summary this is a money grab practice that doesn't really care about its patients. I would have stopped going here a year ago if we didn't prepay for the braces/retainers. When I asked to be refunded for the retainers so I could go to another practice they refused.

We were due to leave town the next day, so we needed to get into someone ASAP. I called around town. Unfortunately the pediatric dentist wasn't open and the first people to get an appointment for my son was Lapinski Dental. We saw Dr. Robert that morning. My son is special needs and has a lot of anxiety. He had a tooth infection and needed to be numbed. When my son saw that needle he became very scared and started to cry. That sent Dr. Robert into a tailspin and he began yelling at my son. He yelled "stop crying right now!" "You did this to yourself! I didn't do it! I should be the one crying!" He then threatened to make me leave the room if he didn't stop crying. I guess Dr. Robert thought that would work, but it only made my already terrified son cry harder. I felt awful for him. We felt thoroughly humiliated and I just wanted to apologize profusely to my son for making him see that man. The good news is that Dr. Robert did temporarily fix my son's tooth until we could get into the pediatric dentist for a permanent fix. It was just a really awful experience getting there.
