That aside, this is so much more than a "Family Business" Ed is a "Healthcare Provider", a friend and most important, he truly cares about his customers as if they were family! Tip: The selection is good but if you don't see something you want, just ask one of the techs if they can order it for you from one of their suppliers. In addition they will price check for a better value for you if you ask. Not many pharmacies still do this today it's practically unheard of. And for this I am extremely grateful. Dealing with Joe, Jenna or Diana is always a dream, they are friendly, kind, empathetic and care about presentation and detail. Alexis has been there for years (perhaps the longest other than Eddie the Pharmacist and owner of this small family owned business) and so has lots of experience under her belt, she knows the ins and outs of the place. They also deliver which is a rare service for many pharmacies these days, so this was invaluable when I was sick and not able to get out of the house. They spend many many hours making sure ppl get their medications and understand them and even deal with the labyrinth of insurance and will call you back within a day and take the time to explain things to you. Eddie has helped me immensely throughout the years as he truly cares about his customers and the community. I could go on and on. It's a little place with a small staff and so eventually you get to know everyone there. And again these days that is so rare. I have no connection to this pharmacy other than being a long standing customer. And I was just moved to write a review because it is just human nature that ppl are quick to make their complaints known, but get too busy to drop in and leave compliments. I am guilty of this too. Plus my regular family dr. I am a long time pain management patient and was having some difficulty in getting one of my medications. He said he was opening up another Pro Care pharmacy on Amboy road and that he had 4 stores so if one of his stores was out of the particular medication then he would transfer it to one of his other locations. No problem at all he could help me get my meds no problem. He even gave me his private cell phone number and to give him a call when I was ready to transfer all my prescriptions to his businesses. I take controlled meds and uncontrolled medicine. Well to sum it up I called him up and he informed me that he would not be able to help me with my prescriptions. I went into the new Pro Care pharmacy to have a conversation but the one woman pharmacist didn't seem to recognize his name. She said that I should come back on a Friday when the pharmacist who only deals with controlled medications. I don't know what is going on at Pro Care pharmacies but I'm extremely disappointed in this young man who said his name was Mario and that he would help me with all my medications. Something seems off and doesn't seem to kosher to me. Thank goodness I didn't leave my present drugstore because I would be up a creek without a paddle nor without many of my medications. Why are legitimate pain patients treated so poorly?

I appreciate everything that the pharmacists and staff do for their customers. Over the years, I've had prescriptions filled quickly and reliably, taken vaccinations, had important documents notarized (Ed is a notary public!) and have received advice about taking medications from the very knowledgeable pharmacists. I hope that more people will give their business to small local pharmacies such as this.
