I expect the same things eaten at 2AM while wasted would hit the spot. I got the impression from my talking to the owner that he runs and staffs the the place alone or with little help. The gentleman helping me slid me a piece of the sweet and spicy bacon jerky (aka bacon candy) and I was hooked instantly. The next day I returned and bought a whole pound. I'm hoping it lasts more than a few days...it is truly a must try. Tender but chewy, Sweet but peppery. Not spicy at all so don't let the name fool you.

(Don't ask, it's a weird story). So I had never heard of this dive bar before and without our sudden need to hide from the elements, I probably would have never found out about this local neighborhood joint. I am no expert on bars, but my bf and I had a pretty good time! I got a bit drunk on the Long Island iced tea, a no frills monster of a drink, and decided to make that my only drink of the night. My bf sipped on their American mule for a few hours and came out a bit more sober than I. Not bad for about $10 a drink, especially since it was a full solo cup worth of alcohol. The place is a bit dingy and mismatched and sadly, the kitchen was closed by the time we were ready to order, unfortunately, so we didn't try their food. We weren't made aware that the kitchen was closing early, so it would have been nice to have known that. Of course, the bar was also overwhelmingly busy and the staff was working their butts off! We made sure to tip well. You'll also notice from my pictures that Good Olde Daze was decorated to be an Xmas bar with a How the Grinch Stole Christmas theme.
