There is plenty of parking, and water for horses. This trail does connect to Betz-Tiger Point Preserve. There is handicap parking and a porta potty as a restroom.

This side of the park has 3.6 miles of hiking paths, however, you can combine the path with a total of 11.5 miles of multi use trails that traverses between Pumpkin Hill Creek and three nearby city parks... I decided today without my hiking shoes on to drive a little further down and across the street to the canoe/kayak launch which also has picnic tables to enjoy my lunch! It was so serene, there were birds everywhere, and I was the only human in site or sound... I'll definitely be returning with my camelback and maybe a bonafide picnic in toe to get a better look at the trails and what FL parks have to offer...

It's got a small kid playground and a bigger kid with plenty learning opportunities. On the second story, there's a ship steering wheel for two and a nice tube slide. A long, slowdrive to the fort from there- not a walking path, but saw bikers. Once you get to the fort, park. There is a small gift shop & they can answer questions. We go to a little space with history information, artifacts & a video to watch. The.ln off to the actual fort. I have pics, but it won't do this place justice. Self-guided tour. Head out when you are ready to go, stay as long as you wish. I highly recommend!!

Kids under 5 are free. We went on Saturday and there was a reactment event! Great way to experience the life at that time and hear the stories and historical information! These people are volunteers and it's their hobby that I appreciated a lot! The beach when you get out of the fort is different kind, no swimming and lots of driftwood and whatnot! The drive there and back is breathtaking following the winding road and looking at the moss covered trees that frame the road! We visit all the forts and historical sites as much as we can and this one is great!

This allows the dogs to play a little longer than normal. There is a concrete sidewalk that goes across the dog park. The small dog park has one water fountain and a bench. It shares a fence with the big dog park and they can tend to run the fence line when things get going. The big dog park is mostly made up of sand and trees. There are 3 benches and 2 water fountains. The fountains are purely for the dogs as the human portion is non-functioning. One of the fountains continuously runs and has made a bit of a mess. At 1 end of the park, the dogs love to roam through it on a hot day and roll in the slop to cool down Bring a towel.
