The Rangers are very nice, sociable, knowledgeable, and great with kids. Seems like it can get crowded during tourist season with campers, however, I haven't necessarily run into that problem. The front desk workers can be very slow and don't really seem to know what programs are happening when so I highly recommend following events on their Facebook page to know what's going on. And of course don't forget you're five dollars for parking and watch out for gopher tortoises crossing the roads!

That said, the slide is nice (don't wear shorts or swim wear with grommets on it or they'll offer to cut holes in your pants to remove it or not allow you to get on the slide). The lazy river is short but nice. The season pass options seemed decent. Food inside is rather overpriced and food allergies can't be accommodated. That said, plenty of chair to choose from, if you're willing to cross the lazy river by foot you can set up your things in the middle of the lazy river and enjoy a bit quieter of an area. The park is circular... meaning you can drive completely around it. There is not parking lot, so you'll have to parallel park on the street. Most people who use this quaint park live within walking distance. There's no playground for kids or swings or anything of that nature, but it's a good little area for them to just run around and play on their own; however, this is the entrance to the neighborhood, so cars are constantly flying by here. Unfortunately, not many of the people obey the speed limit and very few even bother to obey the stop sign. Make sure you do keep a good eye on your kids so they don't run out into the street. There are a ton of trees here, so it's nice and shaded. That's a plus since we do live in Florida and that sun is HOT! This is a good area to walk your dog, but please be courteous and pick up after your fur baby. There is a nice covered area with a picnic table. There are also a few benches here and there. Honestly, I do just mostly see adults here walking their dogs. If you're looking to have a picnic and a place for the kids to play and run around without having to dodge cars, you may want to considering heading down the street to the San Mateo Neighborhood Park.
