One telling me I have to fill out their contracts, the other one saying I didn't need to for that position. One saying I was qualified for the job the other one made it clear I wasn't and then the first one comes back to tell me that his colleague doesn't know what he's saying and that just because he told me that he will send my reference to the employer. I got out of there very confused and felt played with. I was suppose to get a phone call from them and they never called nor did I ever hear from the employer. I am very disappointed with the way they treated me. I don't know if that is a "good cop bad cop" type of strategy but I am not supportive of that at all. I drove 50 minutes to get downtown Vancouver, it cost me $18.75 for parking for nothing. I have to say that this is not what I consider being professionals. More important, once I signed up with them, they got me assignments and good-paying ones too. I also had a dedicated contact person to call if there were any problems or questions that came up. I had to do a few rent-a-receptionist and chair-warmer gigs to start out with, but this is pretty standard. Once I proved myself reliable, they assigned me to the better-paying and longer-term gigs at places like BC Hydro and UBC. I can't say by how much, but I found that they also paid a better cut of their rate than you'd find at some of the other temp agencies in town. I worked with them almost exclusively for almost two years and they were good to me. If you must temp, check them out.
