I love this place. When we come to Portugal we always end up here. The servings are big portions, most of the time generous for two people but I always ask the waiter for their advise. This place is huge but it's always packed. Call ahead of time and make reservations or be ready to wait 2/3 hours in line. There's plenty of parking and it's wheel chair accessible. I will also say if you're not familiar with European restaraunts, at least most of them, there's no A/C. Dress cool, be ready to be a little warm in there, and ladies bring your ladies hand fan. I have the tendency to ask to sit by a window; they have the windows always open and since it's near the ocean you still get a nice breeze.
If you want to try real Portuguese old tradition style food, try the "cozido à portuguesa", note this is only served on certain days. You can also try any type of bacalhau, my favorite is bacalhau a lagareiro. or then bife a casa, you can never go wrong with that. Their soups are always delicious as well and yes us Portuguese people eat soups even in the summer.
Enjoy it's worth it. read more
