I was reading my Bible app on my phone and she told me to put it up. So I did briefly then recieved a message I was going to quickly reply to. She told me again to put it up, I did but got up and escorted myself away from the window to reply back to message. She threatened to call security on me standing exactly where the officer was. I didn't have on any sound, wasn't speaking on it loudly, or even causing a disturbance. Then she says I need to leave the building to be on it AT ALL. Now as many times I've sat on the public side of this SSA I've not once been told anywhere that you had to leave the building to even text a message or just look at a news article; something related to that. She was just rude for no reason especially to someone she wasn't even handling business with. Then I asked a question to her about what she was explaining to my brother and she completely ignored me. I can't recall her name, but she wore glasses, maroon lipstick, had in crochet hair, and wore a bluetooth headset on her right ear. I hope no one else goes through the same experience.

Overall all very poor customer service and the website hours of operations need to be updated.

It is especially charming at Christmas when various businesses and organizations around town decorate various trees and garland in the interior. Queen of the Mississippi Gypsys (I've taken a lot of pictures at different cemeteries. This is the first place that not only my camera but also my phone glitched multiple times) Queen Kelly Mitchell died during the birth of her 15th child on January 31, 1915 in Coatopa, Alabama. Her husband, King Emil, sought local medical assistance and offered $10,000 if doctors could save her, but the efforts were in vain. The couple were the leaders of the Mitchell clan of Romany people, one of the largest in America. It was decided that she would be buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Meridian, MS. Her body was placed in a frozen state for 12 days, to allow time for more people to come and pay tribute. 20,000 people attended her funeral with music and celebrations included. Legends suggest that Kelly was buried in a $15,000 gold casket and/or that 20-dollar gold pieces were tossed into her grave. Her grave has been damaged multiple times by grave robbers. You might notice random things atop her tombstone, local lore states, "If you go up there and leave her a trinket, she'll come to you in a dream and solve all your troubles."

While I was only in Mississippi for business for a few days, I decided to stop and check out the cemetery anyway. They use a man-made lake to power the mill which they then use to grind corn and other items, then sell them at the mill or in the East Central Mississippi area. I visited here last year with my wife and in-laws and was impressed with the history of the place and how well of an operation they have there. In addition, they play music on most Friday and Saturday nights, which I have heard is a good time, though I have not experienced it myself. For those that may have heard of this place, but can't quite place where they may have heard of it, the Mill was featured on Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. If you ever find yourself in rural Mississippi, I highly recommend a visit, and a purchase of some ground corn to make some good homemade bread!
