She was on time and she greeted me with a gift package containing little beauty essentials to keep my makeup flawless throughout the day. She did an excellent job with blending the pigments to match my skin tone! Which is something tough with even the most skilled makeup artist! My makeup ended up looking smooth, light, well blended and flawless. I wanted a classy, sexy, elegant look with a red lip and eyelashes; she surely delivered. I felt stunning! I was almost going to do an Audrey Hepburn by standing by Tiffany & Co. In bright daylight for others to admire my beauty... However, I didn't, I had enough just by walking the streets. We had great conversations. I felt genuinely heard and cared for. I am so happy and grateful I met her. I wanted her to do all my upcoming photoshoots, too bad she is planning on relocating. My friend Amy Rodbell, who is chic, sweet and runs a great jewelry line, asked if any of her local friends would be available for a photo shoot to model the newest items from her business, Swell Caroline (see my review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/swell-caroline-atlanta#hrid:aizeSyXjsoSNIws-Vzf9Tg/src:self) and we got a fabulous photographer/SCAD grad and amazing - seriously! if I could only do this to myself!!! - makeup artist to boot. Did I mention Amy let us pick an item to take as our "searcy" for our time? What more fun could I have on a non-work-Monday, I don't know....Back to the makeup . . . Kimberly, first of all, is just awesome. Someone with whom you'd want to be friends. She's real, funny, and totally puts you at ease. She even dealt with her boyfriend's doctor's appointment before our shoot and made it in great shape (ie, sans stress though I'm sure she was worried, and we all asked after him) and was so fun all day long. And the day got hot! (This is gonna be a loooong hot summer in Atlanta, if the current temps are any indicator) MAC, and all the other goodies. Kimberly's time at Entebello and since then now on her own (she does a lot of weddings and loves to, and does them for high-to-low but definitely works with the best wedding planners and event places so if you're in the market, check her out), she is delicate and careful with the "palettes" she creates on your face. I NEVER have my makeup done (I don't think I've had it done since my wedding in 2002, by Aric Castleberry, who's no longer in Atlanta but whom I grew to love and trust completely, and with whom Kimberly is a colleague) but I felt so pretty today!! Yes, it got hot and sweaty, but she fixed me up as needed, and I even went home for a quick nap before my event tonight - and my eyeliner was still perfectly in place after. Love her! At this point I was getting a little nervous because we had dinner reservations for 8:30. We were then informed that Latasha would not be the one doing our makeup because she wasn't there ( bummer because the website let us choose her as the artist) I think somewhere during the booking should have made it clear that she may not necessarily be the one doing us. The artist saw the uneasiness on our faces and assured us that both she and the other young lady were good as well and that we could look at their work on IG but she didn't give us their names. Anyway, the spot is a cute quaint shop. There was a hairstylist straightening someone's hair which had my throat itching from the smell of burnt hair. Our makeup came out pretty. It appears that these are freelance artist that use their own products. One of my friends face was done with MAC products but mine was done with AJ Crimson . The one that had the MAC makeup lasted longer because the AJ Crimson is very oily to me. I've had it applied by two other MUAs in the past and the same thing happens, greasy. I did enjoy the choice of lip color and end up purchasing a tube. I think it's called Show Time. Nice salon but I prefer to have the artist that I selected at the time of booking actually be the one that does my face.

Initially, when I reached to Jazmine to do my sister's makeup for her upcoming wedding, she was great. Her responsiveness was extremely quick, she was detail-oriented, and reasonably priced. So, imagine my surprise when I found out that Jazmine told my sister she double/overbooked the weekend of her wedding (we booked her for two days). Jazmine proceeded to tell my sister that she could come later and do her makeup at 3PM; keeping in mind, the wedding starts at 5PM (not including the time that it would take to arrive at the venue and do the first look.) When my sister informed Jazmine that those times would not work and requested a refund, Jazmine quite literally ghosted her and since has not returned the money. It has been a complete 180 from the Jazmine that I experienced in the beginning; it almost feels as if we had been lured into a scam. And to top it off, coming here to see that the most recent review of Jazmine says that she missed doing makeup for a bride to attend a dentist appointment, that was the same excuse she gave my sister this week when my sister was trying to get a hold of her. So, be weary, Jazmine is 100% more likely to prioritize going to and being on time for the dentist than showing up to do your makeup.
