Dr. Robert Martinez has been an amazing neurologist and resource for me as a patient…read more He is intelligent and knows what he is doing. I needed a neurologist like Dr. Martinez. A neurologist who possesses the knowledge of knowing the appropriate adjustments that needed to be made on my treatment plan, and that is exactly what he did. The changes he has made have been nothing short of amazing. I am incredibly thankful I was referred to him, and tremendously appreciative for all the positive results he has impacted on my health. It took a lot of guts for me to leave the neurologist I was with at the time, but doing so is honestly the best change I have made yet. My traumatic brain injury journey continues to improve each appointment with Dr. Martinez I go to. I confidently refer everyone to him seeking a kind, experienced, results focused neurologist who zooms his attention in on the health and recovery of his patient's, not on prescribing medications to develop their vulnerability, and racking up their bill. Kind regards, Christy Toledo

It has been 6 months and my legs hurt worse than before and cosmetically the veins seem to protrude much more! I am not sure this procedure helped at all! Second issue is billing! They have a very big problem with keeping track of payments! Save your receipts! I never once went to that office and failed to pay my co-pay! Every three months or so they would tell me I had a delinquent amount of $90! Their office staff is very snarky and the woman in charge of billing is not helpful. I will not go back!

I stayed in the office for four hours while they gave me a full panel of tests to check on my allergies (food, outdoor, and indoor environments) and a lung test for my asthma. Instead of five stars, I give them ten stars. I am very happy with their services.

If I could give this practice zero stars, I would…read more The physician was knowledgeable, but unfortunately the office experience overshadowed any positive aspects of the visit. The administrative staff lacked patience, compassion, and professionalism, and I consistently felt that policies were placed ahead of patient care. If you have a child with special needs, care for a family member with special needs, or you yourself require anything beyond a straightforward, routine appointment, I would encourage you to carefully consider whether this practice is the right fit. Based on my experience and conversations with others, this office does not appear to be well equipped to work with patients whose needs require additional understanding, flexibility, or support. What should have been a healthcare experience became unnecessarily stressful. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion--especially when they are already dealing with complex medical issues. I sincerely hope this practice invests in additional training for its administrative staff so that all patients, regardless of their individual needs, receive the level of care and respect they deserve.

I was worried that I was going to have to take calcium for the rest of my life. But thankfully, my recently pth levels are normal. My vitamin d is finally in the normal range too. It isn't in the optimal normal range but it will get there. I just wanted to share that incase someone freaks out about pth being low after the procedure. So hopefully my labs will stabilize and continue to stay normal. Will update if anything changes. The scar is barely visible too. The incision was made at my natural fold. It healed nicely.

A life-changing experience conducted by a caring and skilled doctor…read more Chronic pain is a debilitating condition that no one wants to endure relentlessly. If you're visiting Joseph Spine Institute it's likely that you've explored a lot of alternative avenues to alleviate your pain and improve your quality of life to no avail. You are hoping there are still some non invasive paths to be explored, but deep down you know that surgery is likely on the horizon. And, that's a scary word. I did a lot of online research before deciding that Dr. Nguyen with Joseph Spine Institute was going to be the doctor to whom I surrendered my trust and well-being to and I couldn't be happier with that decision. Not only is he an incredible surgeon, but he's an all-around good person. My appointments were never rushed, he answered every question I asked (even the ridiculous ones) and genuinely seemed to care about my well-being. He did not immediately recommend surgery as a course of action to reduce my pain. But when it was the last option on the table, he tried to alleviate my concerns while still being honest about the procedure, the risks involved and the recovery ahead. I am now almost 4 months post-op from an ACDF procedure (C5-7) and still have nothing but positive things to say about this office and specifically this doctor. My quality of life has improved dramatically and I hope I will continue to see improvement over the next few months. I am so thankful to this practice for the quality of care that I received. Choosing Joseph Spine Institute was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made.
