I was a bit dubious at first when Rejuvi opened up. I was thinking, great another beauty place…read more.. there were already a couple other ones in Mt Ommaney shopping Centre already. Then I decided, why not try it out. The prices are on par if not cheaper than your Pure Indulgence and Ella Bache, which is great. The rooms are just as good as your top beauty place, clean, uncluttered (i'm looking at you plastic flower on the bed that serves no purpose!). It smells nice. The beauticians don't use that fake light voice to talk to you, they are people! Tick tick tick. I had a facial there and an eyebrow wax another visit, and both times they have accomodated me without an appointment. Plus! The lotions and serums they use are all scientifically developed by a chinese guy in the US. They are designed to contain less crap and more real stuff (in laymen terms). They also have pretty good pricing on the lotions, you'll get a strong UV30 sunscreen for $30, for the potency it is, you don't need much and it lasts a longer time. Yelp! what a deal! Anyway, girls are pretty, guys go there too, they do make up and pierce ears and cosmetic tattooing to boot. I highly recommend trying this place out. Well worth it.

My mum, who lives in the same area as my friend, recommended Rejuvi - she speaks very highly of the women there and the quality of the treatments. So even though I haven't been myself, based on her say-so plus my experience with buying a gift certificate remotely, I'm giving them five stars! The lovely lady I spoke to on the phone was able to process the payment with no drama, and then wrote out a gift certificate and popped it in the local post for me so that my friend will get a nice surprise in the snail mail. Thanks so much, Rejuvi!

Trusting someone to tend to your brows is a delicate choice as I'm sure many fellow lady Yelpers…read morewill understand. It's a tumultuous relationship and one wrong move can see you passively aggressively ignoring your former beautician and starting a fresh with someone new. I decided to put my faith in In Therapy in Brisbane's Red Hill in the hope they'd restore my trust and give me the neat and tidy brows I so longed for after a rather disastrous brow wax some two months ago. With the growing out finally done it was time to put myself back on the market, so to speak. Their service menu claimed they "specialise in fabulous brows" and I eagerly set off to see just how fabulous my brows would be. I'm greeted by my technician and ushered into a therapy room and it's not unlike any other brow waxing experience of the past 12 or more years. Before long my technician has spent some 20 minutes working her magic on my brows and when I see them in the small hand mirror she provides to me I am proud to say, "Why yes, don't you two look fabulous." Back in their trim and tidy shape I happily pay $24 for the experience. Of course, brows isn't the only treatment In Therapy offers. They are a full-service beauty salon offering massage, facials, spray tan, mani and pedis. Perhaps the best thing that my sensitive skin praised them for was their use of organic strawberry wax. There was no extremely redden skin afterwards or strange looks from onlookers as I walked back to the office. With this being my second visit to In Therapy (the previous for a file and polish of the ol' fingernails) I can say that each time I walk in I feel instantly calm and like I'm away from the hustle of city life. I can't wait to go back and try more from their service menu. The lesson: sometimes it is good to branch out, try something new. Who knows what might happen? I think I've just found a brow spot to go steady with....

Eyelash extensions are definitely the new in thing. I personally have not had Lash Me do my lashes but on talking to the lady there she was very friendly and helpful, she helped explain about the infills which are needed anywhere between (approx) 4-6 weeks - depending on the after care and how you treat your lashes. Open room with wooden floors and they are looking to add in more beauty services in the near future.

I rebooked at the time of having…read morethem done only to cancel it the minute my eyes stopped burning (3 days later) and I was able to see the damage done to my natural lashes. My eyelashes were so clumpy (I think they used a few tubes of glue per lash!) it looked like I had used 10 year old mascara, and like I said my left eye literally burned and watered non stop for for 3 days! Not something I would expect from a salon that is meant to specialise in lash extensions! I have had two sessions (infills) at another Brisbane Salon located at New Farm, and I haven't looked back, it is actually nice to have your lahes done without your eyes feeling like they are going to burst into flames, plus the damage done to my lashes (i.e. left with bald spots... great look!) is finally starting to grow back / repair. I want to warn other ladies... do your research! Just because they say they specialise in lashes, doesn't mean they are any good at doing it, learn from my mistake! I won't risk ever going back there or recommending the Fortitude Valley salon to anyone.
