Newly renovated space in Metairie looks so bright, fun and clean! Same great staff. Check-in is a breeze and everyone is super kind. As of right now, masks are still preferred (which makes sense in the setting) and social distancing in waiting room. We are more comfortable this way and my daughter was sick this week so it was better for others as well. We just love Dr.Heller and he has been our kids doctor for about 9 years now. He is attentive, patient, great with kids and he never pushes antibiotics/meds. read more

Dr. Tammy Senetz and Dr. Heller was my children's dr's and now they are my grand children's doctors. I love that they know my family's history since birth on all my kids (5). I don't have to deal with new dr's or the facility having a huge turn over in dr's. I love there bed side manor as well as having the backing of children's hospital network. they are knowledgeable and very informative. They take the time to listen to your expectations and explain everything to you in detail. I love the staff and how kind they always are. 25+ years and counting with them. We'd follow our pediatrician Dr. Senentz to Mississippi so when she was away from our usual branch for the day we piled into the car and drove to Metairie. Let's just be frank, here. You don't go to the baby doctor for funsies. And the people in the waiting room aren't there for a good time. The admins have work coming out of their ears and if we are honest, nobody wants to play phone tag with insurance companies. If you are a parent you know you are walking into ground zero (aka the waiting room) and you are running the risk of trading your cold for ebola but HEY. What can you do? All of that said. The doctors make it worth it. The nurses are kind. If I had it to do all over again, I would choose the same doctor in the same practice. There is nobody I'd rather be in debt to. read more

The doctors of Napoleon Pediatrics are all five stars. I have met three of the doctors with this practice when my baby was born at Touro. They all were knowledgeable, professional and kind. Our pediatrician is Dr. Estes. Dr. Estes is amazing. I believe he treats his patients with the utmost care he would show his own grandchildren. Regarding the front desk staff, they are the reason why my overall rating is only three stars. There hasn't been one occasion where the staff was friendly by phone. I am sure the waiting room is full and the phone lines are steadily ringing; however that does not condone poor customer service. Demonstrating you can smile by phone would go a long way with your patients parents. Overall, Napoleon Pediatrics is a great place for children's medical needs. Their affiliation with Children's Hospital is greatly appreciated as well as their emergency after hours phone line. read more

The wait times are horrible. My appointment was for 9:00am after arriving 10 minutes early and being placed in a room it took our doctor 2 hours just to come in. I don't understand why and will be changing doctors soon. read more

Unfortunately I give them this review because the office staff are the worst I've ever encountered. This has been the case since Hurricane Katrine ran off the competent people they used to employ. They are rude on the phone and you don't get call backs promptly. Your front office staff is the eyes to the company. I would fire my employees if they ran my business like this. On the other hand... This place has good doctors but be prepared to wait an hour or two for your appointment. They overbook constantly, so even if you have an 8:00 appointment you will be waiting until 9 or 10 to leave the office. read more

The staff is terrible and has always been, but because I liked our pediatrician we stayed with them. But today is the last straw. My daughter has been out of her eczema medicine for about three months. When I called three months ago for a refill, I left a message and put the empty box in my cabinet so I would remember what medicine we used. Luckily she hadn't had a flare up in a while. Sunday night she has a flare up, I got to pull out her medicine and there isn't any. She reminds me that we were still waiting on it from three months ago. I called the office Monday, left a message, no return call. Called Tuesday, left a message, no return call. It is now 3 days later and still nothing. Fortunately I took her to urgent care last night for a RX. We won't be back. Looking for a new pediatrician as I type this. read more

Let me first start off by saying I LOVE THE DOCTORS here! They're thorough, professional, compassionate and patient. Unlike the rude receptionists I seem to get everytime I call to set appointments for my kids. The tone in they're voices make you feel like you're inconviently interrupting their day. They have no patience to answer your questions and are quickly irritated by the time it takes to set an appointment when you're trying to search for the perfect time that works for you and your baby. I recently switched my oldest here along with my newest addition. They have two very convenient locations, one Uptown and in Metairie. All of the doctors are friendly. Staff is also very helpful. Both my kids sees Dr Michael Heller and I always ask myself how did I not switch over sooner. It's hard to find doctors or anyone who you would feel comfortable with your kids. Napoleon Pediatrics are also partnered with Children's Hospital, which makes it even more available. If you are looking for a pediatrician, give this place a try. read more

The doctors are great. The office, however, is another story. They're very obviously short staffed, making receptionists edgy. I've gone in to pick up a prescription and had to wait behind the glass divider for close to fifteen min. because the receptionist was on the phone. The only acknowledgment I got was seeing her head turn my direction and a hand held up, all through the glass because she couldn't even be bothered to open it for a face to face interaction. Waiting time is downright torture. I've been in the office for hours on some visits, and have never had a quick visit. You'll wait in the waiting room, than you'll wait in the examining room. Be prepared to entertain your children, it get's hard. My boys are on monthly prescriptions that I have to call for each month. Even this is a hassle. The procedure is to call and leave a message letting them know who the prescription is for and what it is. I have to call three times, and than start complaining about not getting a response before I get a callback letting me know that I can go pick it up. I now begin calling for refills two weeks in advance just to insure that I get it taken care of before I run out of their medication. I often think about switching doctors all together, but they are good and obviously busy for a reason. They just need to hire more people to work in the office. read more

First things first I love my doctor at Napoleon Pediatrics but my lord the front desk staff at both locations are rude, slow and completely lacking in professionalism. For our first appointment at 1 month they had use waiting for an hour in a waiting room with sick coughing kids everywhere,which is a huge no no with a small baby that has had zero shots. Next time they were going to never call our name because I didn't write my son's name in correctly on the sign in sheet so we waited another hr. These are just two examples but I have never in all our visits had a positive or even neutral experience with the front desk staff. They didn't input our new insurance info so I got a bill for $880 which I then had to spend hours fixing. I know they have been implementing a new computer system but that was over a year ago! At this point if they can't get it together they need to be fired. If you are going to work in a pediatric office you should be polite, warm and competent at you job! Definitely do not recommend. One of the Doctor's misdiagnosed my 2 month old son. My son suffered for an entire month. Had the doctor not ignored my first time mom concerns, my son could have been diagnosed sooner and had the surgery he needed a month earlier. The Doctor did not even bother to visit the hospital to check on his patient or call to see how we were doing. We were in the hospital for an entire week. read more

I absolutely love the doctors at Napoleon Pediatrics. I have no problems with the desk or the wait time. My problem is with the billing department. They are completely incompetent. Although I pay over $1000 a month for health insurance I always receive a bill for the full amount of the visit. This happens constantly! I make sure to leave my current insurance card which has only changed 3 times in 12 years. It does absolutely no good! I'm not sure where the information ends up but it most certainly does not end up where it is supposed to be. I am tired of sending a copy of my insurance card in the mail 3 or 4 times before having this corrected. Often when I call they say the bills are sent out in error and I owe nothing. This is absurd. I have decided to leave Napoleon pediatrics and find a more competent office with a better billing department. It makes me sad, however, as these doctors are the best I've seen in a long time. My 22 year old son saw these doctors as a baby and I will miss them! read more
