Longtime Customer - Extremely Disappointed with Declining Service…read more I've been a loyal customer of The Boat House for years and have purchased multiple boats from them--always on the promise from management that I'd be taken care of when it came to service and support. Unfortunately, that promise has been completely broken, and the quality of their service department has only gone downhill. Most recently, I brought my boat in for what should have been a simple repair. I was told it would be ready in a week or two, but nearly a month passed with no communication. I had to call repeatedly just to get updates, and every time I spoke with someone, the story changed--parts were ordered, then backordered; the boat was being worked on, then suddenly it wasn't. There was zero consistency and even less transparency. When I finally got the boat back, I was shocked at the condition it was returned in. It was filthy--greasy handprints on the seats, dirty footprints all over the deck, and it clearly hadn't been cleaned or cared for at all. I brought this up with the service department, and all I got was a casual "sorry," with no offer to fix it or make things right. To make matters worse, the original issue I brought the boat in for still wasn't fully resolved--and now there was a new issue that wasn't there before. Again, no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to deliver the kind of service they promise when selling boats. After spending millions of dollars with The Boat House over the years, this experience makes it painfully clear that customer loyalty means nothing to them. I will not be buying another boat from them again, and I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere if they expect any level of professionalism or long-term support.

I agreed to wait. He promised he'd hold the boat for me until he got back. I headed over to Walkers as soon as Brad alerted me he'd got off the plane. I called Brad when I left to let him know I would be there shortly. He told me he'd sold the boat. This guy has no integrity and belongs somewhere other than in any customer-facing position. If Walkers will hire someone like Brad Skelton they probably don't deserve my, or your business.

We are from the north and able to do research and talk to the new owners before purchase. We put money down to hold the boat with the promise to give us the money back if we did not purchase. They did not even cash the check. They held the boat for 2 weeks no questions asked. We did come down, do a test trial, and bought the boat. It was as advertised and we are definitely happy! The boat was a great deal. Skip, the new owner, was also able to completely service the engine, provide a new battery, paint the bottom, etc. before delivery. The parts were reasonable and the labor prices and time were spot on. We feel the value was there every step of the way with the Florida Boat Center. Our dock is in Fort Myers and Skip even delivered it right to us since we weren't buying the trailer. Perfect experience all the way around from start to finish (and we have been working with them over the course of 4 weeks). We also met and corresponded with the entire staff including Suzanne and Brenda. I have to say each and every person working there was professional, responsive, and more than accommodating. They lost my keys, my registration, the tie downs for my trailer, my spare tire cover. Did a sea trial on my boat and didn't put it on the trailer properly. The boat was very dirty too.
