She set me up with valuable healthy coping mechanisms for when I feel overwhelmed that have helped tremendously, particularly in my marriage. The work we did using EMDR has had a lasting effect and we continue to work towards resolving some unfinished aspects of my trauma. She has been supportive and caring, yet tough and pointed when I needed to hold myself accountable. Some people may not appreciate that aspect but I found that to be some of the most helpful parts of our sessions as it really made me reflect on how I can sabotage myself with negative thinking. In both circumstances I felt heard, supported and encouraged. She is quite busy but when she is not available she, or someone from her staff gets right back to me. Her staff is super friendly, efficient and helpful. In-person sessions always leave me with a great feeling, and in one situation where she felt like she may not be the best to treat me, she offered several recommendations and connected me with other professionals. There was legitimately only 1 therapist who took the time to check in on me at work and understood how difficult it was to work in such a place while trying to grieve. I'm glad to hear it's owned by a different company, but if any of the doctors and staff are still affiliated with this practice, then I would avoid it all costs. I should have sued for wrongful termination and still would if it were within the statute of limitations.
