We really enjoyed our stay at this new bed & breakfast!…read moreSylvia opened her place this spring and by the time we spent the weekend here in August, everything was running very smoothly. We booked the Burdock room, which was cozy and very clean. There was a small fridge for guest use in the hallway that also had water and soda. I really appreciated how many local products were used - there's a tea station with lots of variety and all kinds of local honey, the flowers on the breakfast table were grown in PEC, the fruits and vegetables came from PEC, their neighbour makes the bread. All these little touches made it memorable, and we even sought out some of these producers to bring gifts home. In fact, we wanted to get some of the French tea she was serving and without us having to ask, she called the neighbouring B&B/store that sells it to make sure they were already open as we headed out. The breakfast was very big and very tasty! There was homemade granola (that was honestly better than the one I make...) and oven-baked tomatoes with omelette. There's a table with brochures that included free sample cards to a lot of wineries, take a look before you head out to visit them. The property also includes an outdoor pool that we didn't have time to try. The owners have a dog and a cat so be prepared in case you're allergic. Both beasts were perfectly friendly and fun to pet. We had some trouble finding the place at first, the GPS thought it's further west from the highway on Wilson Road, it's actually between Highway 62 and County Road 1, so if you're going there, be aware. I'd love to stay here again next time we're in Prince Edward County!

Silvia makes a lot of things at home such as almond milk and uses fresh local ingredients. They have a cute dog named Nanook and a cat. The house itself is renovated and everything is modern with a touch of vintage. Very clean place. They also have beach towels and a pool. They have a fridge upstairs as well for guests. Silvia is helpful with her recommendations for local restaurants, wineries, etc. would highly recommend this B&B and we would definitely stay again.

My bf finds this lovely B&B. The owners are friendly senior couple. The male owner, Bill, is…read moreScottish and he made fantastic omelette for our first breakfast and wonderful Scottish breakfast the 2nd morning. His wife Caroline makes amazing jams. We particularly love the ginger and plum, and peach and lavender. We are glad we brought them home. Thank you Caroline for setting up our breakfast table so beautiful two mornings in a row. Honestly, there are not many B&B provides such quality and heart-felt breakfast with this reasonable price. There are 3 guest rooms in this 1862-built house. All are well maintained and cleaned. The linen for the bedding is soft and good quality. The bed is comfortable. Most importantly, it has free wifi. For those who are allergic to cats, please note there are several very friendly and layback cats in the house. However, I guess they are all well trained because I did not see them wandering on the guest room floor once. We will come visit Grove Cottage B&B again this Summer :)

My girlfriend and I stayed the night at Grove Cottage and had an amazing experience. Our room was…read moreextremely clean, queen bed was comfortable, ensuite was clean and large, breakfast was delicious and the location was very very ideal in PEC. We drove down to Sandbanks for the day which took us all of 10 minutes. Then we did some wineries which were no more than 10-15 minutes away. The main strip of Picton is about a 3 min drive away with plenty of dinner spots available. Wellington is only 15 min away where there are more restaurants farmers markets etc. If you're a couple, I highly recommend asking for the room at the front (Queen bed, ensuite, large window at the foot of the bed). Very romantic and if the weather plays ball, waking up with that window open, birds chirping and the morning light pouring in is incredible. We will be back!!!
