Refunds are not given - even if you just purchased something within the hour in error. The owner is super friendly when you are buying something, and then completely unfriendly and unreasonable when things don't go her way. read more

Head to toe fashion and accessories are stocked here - you can get anything from sunnies to shoes. Labels fall in and out of favour with Tuchuzy but featured lately is the likes of Bassick, Ellery, Friend of Mine and cult shirt label Equipment. Price wise you'd be surprised that there are some reasonable rates here - last summer I picked up a 'by johnny' skirt for $110. Overall a must visit if you're meandering up Gould Street.

I wasn't planning on buying any clothing when I arrived to Bondi Beach ready to do the Coastal Walk, but I came woefully unprepared weather-wise. Blame it on my being in Hawaii for too long and thinking I wouldn't need to be wrapped up to spend a day at the beach. It was incredibly windy that day; great weather to go for a coastal walk, but I knew I'd freeze my arse off in my short-sleeved tee. I had to buy a sweater. I looked around at the numerous clothing stores lining Campbell Parade, and decided that Between the Flags offered the best quality shirts and sweatshirts. If I had to buy a sweatshirt, I wanted to buy one that was stylish and durable enough that I could wear it again on my next trip to a cooler weather destination. I found Between the Flag clothing to be soft and comfortable, something that you would love to wear on a cold day and feel warm and snuggly. The sales associate was helpful and friendly. She told me a bit about the clothing available and gave me time to browse the store. I chose a few items to try on in the dressing rooms. I decided on a grey sweatshirt that had Bondi Beach written in gold on the front. My sweatshirt kept me appropriately warm during my walk along the coast which was particularly cold and windy for a Spring day in Sydney. It also rained later that day so I had no regrets buying that sweatshirt. Some drawbacks are that Between the Flags apparel is pricey and that it has limited sizes. There are other stores that sell cheaper sweatshirts, but I did not think they looked or felt as good as Between the Flags. I am petite and curvy and managed to find some things that fit me. The largest sized piece of clothing goes up to around a US size 12. I recommend Between the Flags if you happen to find yourself in my predicament and need additional clothing before spending the day at the beach or going on the Coastal Walk. It is also a nice place to shop if you are looking for a Bondi Beach shirt as a souvenir that is of high quality and will last a long time. I still have my sweatshirt and hope to get good use out of it for years to come.

Between the flags is a clothing store that features a lot of stereotypical Bondi Beach wear....They have hoodies, singlets, swimwear and a category called "LIFESAVERS" - where you can dress up like a lifesaver... The prices fluctuate depending on whether or not its the summer season...I do think you get better deals in winter.... Prices start from about $30.... and I think the items in the store make for a good gifts... I find the quality to be good....so I'd say good value for money... Biird originally known as Nest Child is a Sydney hidden gem based in Clovelly which offers fashion…read morefor infants and toddlers and now with its growing store offers women's fashion and select home wares. For women there are beautiful Zimmerman silk sun frocks and they also stock the cult jean brand J Brand. I imagine squeezing my generous self into one of those waxed denim numbers that I have seen on Rhianna and decide I stick with the 'whatever-I-can find' daily look rather than aspire to the unobtainable vamp rock star. Biird has a great store configuration with the right hand side of the shop being fashion mostly for the infant - toddler girls. The boys clothing is accessed to the back of this section. To the back of the shop behind the cash register is the womens clothing. Prams and strollers can be easily pushed around in each section. This is one of the things I love about Biird is the product placement is clearly defined not jumbled together like your kid has just hurricaned through the shop and that one is able to wander around easily. Clovelly Road is a very busy street right up until the second roundabout where the 2nd block of shops are. It has some of the best bakeries, providores and of course Green Mango, Pasta Zu and Clodeli which are very popular eateries. Be savvy and use one of the side streets to park that has unlimited parking. For my little diva I purchase a couple of transeasonal pieces including a green Diesel layered dress and a beautiful cotton number from the brand Ouch. Biird also stocks Fred Bare, Gaia, Pure Baby Organic, Love Luck shoes and Baby Havaania's. The staff are incredibly helpful and having children of their own I trust their wisdom in their suggestions.

I'm pretty sure the young shop assistant at Fever was trying to be helpful but as you may have gathered from the opening sentence, overly attentive shop keepers make me feel pressured to make a purchase so even if I want something I usually just leave. Thankfully, wanting something was not an issue as this shop is solely aimed at the type of 18 years who get all dressed up in stripper clothes in the middle of winter and then spend the night tugging at their skirt to make sure their muff isn't making an appearance. Note to girls: if you have to constantly tug at your dress to keep your breakfast covered, it's a T-shirt.

That is not a typo. Do not be misled by the massive "$3" table at the front of the shop, especially if the first things your hands fall upon are unhemmed corsets or a shirt with a sleeve missing. You must dig deep, my friends, to find the reward*. Beyond the occasional nugget of gold on the mostly-crap $3 table, it's surprising how many decent and even well-made frocks can be found in a shop with TEN DOLLAR signs plastered every metre or so. The staff could not give a toss about you or me or anyone else in the vicinity but it's hard to be annoyed when they're probably on $5 an hour. At the far end of the room is the colour-coded samples rack, another journey that has the possibilty of reaping sartorial benefits. *disclaimer: there is not always a reward on this table, sometimes it really is just all unhemmed, unfinished crap.

The next thing is that these ladies couldn't be more adorably cliched if they tried- they will be complaining about their sore backs, clucking over some booties that have just come in, and generally being lovely elderly women who dedicate a day or two a week to volunteering in the Op Shop. This used to be the sort of pokey Op Shop you'd have to dig through piles of clothes and move things around to see what treasures might be hiding. They were recently closed for a few weeks while they underwent renovations and now it's the sort of pokey Op Shop you have to dig through piles of clothes and move things around to see what treasures might be hiding, but with a different table in the middle.
