She insisted of putting my child who was 22 months old to sleep in a play pan when he had already and clearly grown out of it. For almost initial nine months she would send the child home to sleep as my child would it sleep in a play pan and she didn't agree for any alternative arrangement. Every time she told me that she was not allowed to use anything else. Later after nine months when on my continuous insistence she asked her supervisor, she was told that a child who is 18 months or bigger is not supposed to sleep in a play pan rather a mattress must be arranged for the child. She wasted and kept me and my child in pain for almost nine months. 2. Every time my child started crying she would call me to pick him up. 3. She didn't make him learn anything, took him outside when I insisted a lot, didn't make him learn how to feed in his own, most of the toys and colouring books were all bought and provided by me. 4. Usually she would schedule her doctor and shopping appointments during the time and would call me to either pick the child early or drop him late so that she could get a paid day for just keeping the child for two hours. 5. Very objective when I wanted her to be compassionate towards my child But very subjective and emotional when she needed favours. 6. Always made excuses for her health issues so she cannot pick up the child, play with him or take him outside. Once I saw she made my child sit on the stairs of her house outside in the sun and she was standing in the shade of her garage. That was the outside activity. 7. Never did any creative activities with my child like water play, soil activity or music or gestures. 8. Never spoke English with my child. 9. Her name is Uzma Mian, and she lives at 1Tahir Streer, maple. Beware! Save your child's present and future. 10. The off time was 6 pm, but she would bring my child outside her house at 5:45 pm whether it was cold, hot or rainy or windy.

This EarlyON location doubles as a daycare center as well and has 2 spare rooms in the back for EarlyON programs. The priority room is given to the location in the attic and secondary room is located on the main floor for the spill over from the attic. Activities are also hosted in either or rooms. The staff are incredibly friendly and many speak Chinese to accommodate the dominant demographic in the area. I'd recommend coming earlier or coming on a weekday to avoid the crowds. The facilities are very welcoming and parents bring meals and snacks for their children as well. The best part is that the center is all free so it gives parents/care givers an opportunity to connect with others and engage in activities for their young ones. Overall, I'd recommend the facility but would advise families to go early as possible and/or go during the weekdays. Their schedule and activities can be found online and offer a range of interactive events for newborns to children 6 years of age.

The site is very well maintained and extremely clean. The meals and snacks are carefully planned by a nutritionists who incorporate diverse menu (fish, tofu, various ethnic menus like pad thai) that incorporates seasonal veggies and fruits. I cannot say enough about the staff though - they truly love what they do and it shows. From the day we started transitioning my little one at 12 months, all the teachers have shown nothing but love and care. They make sure each child is engaged and cared for and I am always grateful for all the work that they do with the children. The webcam access to the room is also a bonus (it came really handy during the first few weeks when it was just as much of a transition period for me as it was for my child - I may have spent a good chunk of my day watching/weeping/laughing). My youngest son is 3 years old and is currently attending the Preschool class at Kids & Co. Finch. He started off slowly with his language skills but since being at Kids & Co. he has quickly picked it up and is now able to communicate very well for his age. He is very engaged and interested in learning and this is because the staff at Kids & Company make learning fun. The site also offers a delicious and healthy meal plan that keeps the children energized throughout the day as well as regular outdoor play, as weather permits. The rooms are well-kept and there are usually two staff members in the preschool room, which helps keep things manageable and allows the preschoolers to receive special, individual attention, as needed. An added bonus is that the whole facility has recently been renovated and it really looks fantastic. The children are encouraged to play together and are taught to respect one another which in turn enables them to create lasting friendships, even at an early age. Big and spacious classrooms, outdoor playground next to a park, friendly, professional and caring staffs, access to the library and gym in the adjacent elementary school, and enriching programs! Speaking about programs, I was so amazed that they took on the trouble to take all the kids to learn Ice Skating! Think about all the work related: getting all the kids dressed, get them on the bus, laced up their skates and into the arena! I was deeply impressed by then director Janice's enthusiastic reply "yeah, it was a lot of work for us, but the kids love it and they had lots of fun!". And there's many other field trips and special events from guest visits throughout the year. The staffs deserve a special thumb up as well. They make sure the kids stay healthy, live active and learn interesting things. I also enjoy the free parenting education sessions they host once in a while. The only reason I withdrew my child from Ashton Medows was we moved to another province. And I had not found any better day care than them. Highly recommended.
