This is my "GO-TO" Nando's location, even though I live in Richmond, we would drive out to this White Rock store as I find their Chicken is cooked consistently good ... well charred and still very tender & juicy inside. Also, their dining area is always well kept and has a nice relaxing ambiance! Service is always friendly and efficient! Plenty of free parking at this retail open air mall! PS : do give the "Extra Hot" Peri-peri sauce a try! Once tried you will be hooked! read more

Nando's Peri-Peri - Chicken Shop Near Me - Surrey, British Columbia

Food is good. Not very pretty, just some good food. Plenty of parking out front. Its in a shopping complex. The interior feels a dim lit but its clean and has a decent theme. My service was pretty average. Food took maybe 10-15 minutes ao im guessing it was cooked fresh. Id come back or recommend. I lowkey prefer baked or grilled chicken over oil fried chicken pretty much any day. Prices are pretty solid, but dont expect cheap. read more

Before heading back to the US, I stopped at Nando's, and it did not disappoint! The closest comparison in the west is El Pollo Loco, but it doesn't quite measure up. Nando's chicken is incredibly juicy with great sides and amazing sauces. I'll definitely be stopping here every time I return from a trip to Canada! read more

It's Yes for me to this restaurant no matter what location but especially this one. The service is amazing and outstanding. The food is so so so good ( I was never disappointed with food anywhere) I love that their sauces are gluten free so it makes it easier for me to enjoy any flavour. The restaurant is super clean and nice! This location makes it easy for me to take dinner back to sealer every time I am in BC heading back home as they are 10 min away from the Canadian-American borders. Enjoy it read more

My take our delivery bowl looked nothing like the one advertised on their website, where I selected the item for ordering. It had almost a third of the quantity that it showed in the photo, plus it had no chives sprinkled on top. They also forgot my $4 mango lemonade. When I called in to the 'restaurant' her response was that she "put in every item that she was required to." As for my $4 drink, they wanted to credit me one rather than refunding it. The manager said the same. I ask again for a refund (just because) rather than a credit, as we will not be ordering food from there again. My 'meal' with drink was $20 plus tax and fees. I have rcvd no refund to date. This order took place on Dec 9th, 2024 read more

Was out and about and thought to myself I haven't had Nando's in awhile. Decided to swing by this location which is located in a small strip mall. The chicken at this location was slightly better than other Nando's in my memory. The chicken had good flavour and not dried out at all. The staff there was friendly and welcoming. I had a seat near the front counter and their level of service was consistent throughout the time I was there. Location is spacious and clean, good economic option when you're on a pinch for dinner. read more

Overall this place is just ok. The staff were friendly and the store itself was quite clean. My wife ordered the rainbow chicken bowl (add two thighs) and I ordered the spicy chicken Caesar wrap (level 2 spice) with one side of regular fries. My wife thought there was way too much rice and too little of the chicken. She thought the flavor of the chicken and the peri peri sauce were good though. My wrap was very average, but I did like the peri ranch which added a nice flavor. The food itself was ok, but at $40.91 CAD ($29.70 USD) it was quite overpriced for what you get. My wife thought on a future visit she would probably just try the chicken by itself. read more

Super moist, loved the flavors! Service was excellent! First time going and will defiantly go again.

A South African friend of mine said Nando's as a whole is decent representation of his country's chicken cuisine. Since there's one right over the border, I figured I should try it. Don't be fooled, it's a fast casual place with few, if any frills. You order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. The service was friendly enough, and they made a sauce recommendation (lemon) that was really delicious. We opted for wing roulette, with wings in every level of sauce, and we each got the double leg, one medium and one lemon. The medium really isn't all that spicy and the sauces in general are more vinegary than you might expect. It's got great flavor, and the flame-grilled-and-basted chicken is juicy and comes out piping hot. I'm glad we got medium, so we could really taste all the flavors, but next time I'd go for a bit more heat. Don't expect to eat neatly... Get in there and enjoy it. If you're into fries, go with the wedges and use the garlic vinegar sauce for dipping. They're way better than the regular fries and provide a bit of texture change from the chicken. There are salads and wraps on the menu, and they all looked fine, but the actual chicken is where it's at. read more

Second time in 12 years ordering from a Nando's - different locations, but sadly similar experiences. So, COVID notwithstanding, this will be our last. But first some advice. We tend to go to take-out/delivery based on busy lifestyles. But we still try to make our choices about quality, taste and uniqueness. Not very many of those points were met - at all. Yes, these are weird times, but we've ordered from other vendors with infinitely better results. A chicken sandwich needs chicken (50% delivered - see photo), taste - spicy - OK, but some kind of additives beyond a slice of tomato and a wilted lettuce leaf. As we, at some point, exit the worldwide shutdown, some businesses will emerge and thrive and others will struggle. Take a hint and address the shortcomings - it's not too late, and if you think like a customer you'll know what you can, and must, do. read more

We normally visit this particular Nando's. I am wondering if the location changed hands. The menu has also changed. They used to have girls at the register who were very friendly and patient with the customers. I must say, the chef/cook knows what he is doing when it comes to the chicken. It was so flavorful and tender. Finger lickin good! The fries were hot and fresh, but the coleslaw tasted more like mayonnaise than anything else. So 5/5 for the chicken. Now, let's move on to the gentleman behind the counter. He should be friendlier to his customers. Also, if you are going to suggest a sauce and it is extra, please tell the customer. Next time I will scrutinize the bill before I pay. 1/5 for customer service. read more

Long time customer of Nando's.Lived close to a South Surrey locationfor quite a few years. They have always had great chicken and best rice ever.Stopped in last night for a take out order. When I got home I was shocked. Went from best rice to worst rice ever. Looked up there menu on the internet and I'm not the only one. They changed there menu after Covid. Why did they change it?Chicken was good but rice is not for me. I think I've been to Nando's for the last time. read more

Super friendly staff. Great customer service. Awesome food. We were visiting Vancouver and wanted to try Nando's on our way back to Seattle. After hearing great reviews from my friends in UK, I wanted to give this place a try. I am glad I went here because their chicken is awesome. Peri-peri chicken is cooked to perfection. It was juicy and very flavorful. The staff was very friendly in explaining their menu and helped me choose the perfect sauce for my chicken. Although Nando's is categorized as "Casual Fast Food", their service was better than many other full-time restaurants. They serve food to the table. Food is served in proper plates with metal cutlery. read more

I've been waiting to eat here since someone told me about them in London & missed the opportunity to go. Thank you Canada. This place is everything Chicken with a few vegetarian options. It's Peri-Peri Delicious! I'll definitely come back if given the chance. The chicken is grilled to perfection & seasoned lightly with their signature sauce, we picked lemon & herb with is a step up from non-spicy, it was good. If the spice isn't right for you & you want your mouth to feel the heat even more they have a tray of varying levels hot spiced sauces, to add to your meal. The mashed potatoes could have used more love in the seasoning department but I just added some of the garlic sauce to it, perfect. The menu also consisted of chicken wraps, pita's, sammiches & salads. read more

incredible chicken dishes paired with a vibrant ambiance - Nando's nails it

Nando's was founded in South Africa by 2 guys back in 1987. Their idea to butterfly and baste chicken with a Chilli sauce (or PERi-PERi as it became known) on an open flame took off. Very nice restaurant and clean. No one else was at this location when I walked in. There's no menu board so I had to ask her for a menu. Ordered takeout and hung around. Then decided to order some Portuguese tarts which were displayed at the counter. When I asked her, she didn't seem to know what they were and I eventually had to point to the display. I took the 1/2 chicken home and the flavor was good. It could have been spicier but I had erred on the side of caution and ordered medium. The breast wasn't dry. Portuguese tarts: pastry was chewy. The filling was way too sweet. I might return but the service experience was disjointed. I would get their marinades and basting sauces because they are made from 100% natural ingredients. So NO added preservatives, MSG, flavourants or colourants. read more

yummy food and sweet staff! we had the chicken wings and tried them with all the sauces

Move over chicken! There is a whole lot more in store. Nando's is now packed with options for everyone. From chicken to salads to even hummus and pita! It's fantastic! And everything has its own little peri peri kick to it! A tried and true favorite of mine includes the peri peri rice - mix it up with a little sour cream and some hot sauce and your taste buds will be begging for more! This place is great for take-out and also great for big groups with a spacious and well decor-ed interior! read more

I went for the second time last night with my wife. The people are so friendly and helpful. It was clear we weren't really sure what we were doing or what we wanted to order, so the guys offered to help walk us through the menu, asked us questions about spice preference, gave recommendations etc. And it's not like it was a waiter/waitress doing this, these guys were at the counter. I was impressed. I had the chicken pita (hot) with the peri fries as a side, and my wife got the caesar salad (the small size) with medium spice chicken. We also had a little bag of peri spiced nuts. My pita was delicious. I complained at first that all the chicken was at the back/bottom of the pita, but really it's kind of brilliant... otherwise how else would I eat my vegetables. The fries were so very tasty. Just the little bit of spice was great when we dipped them in ketchup. I'd risk saying they are my favorite fries in the area. My wife's salad, for being a small size, was a good size portion, definitely enough for a meal. The medium spice chicken tasted perfect with the caesar dressing. And the nuts (which I just finished) were awesome! Spicy, but not too spicy (though I like a healthy amount of spice), and very tasty! I'd highly recommend getting these. We'll definitely be heading back to Nando's! read more
