Poor food, worse attitude -- won't be returning…read more I had high hopes for Merit Chinese Takeaway, but this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had with a local takeaway. The food was below average -- greasy, bland, and clearly not made with care. The chicken balls were mostly soggy batter with very little meat inside, and the curry sauce tasted like it came from a packet. Rice was dry, noodles were overcooked, and nothing we ordered had the freshness or flavour you'd expect. But what stood out even more than the poor food was the atmosphere inside the shop. While I was waiting for my order, I witnessed the owner speaking to young staff members in a completely unacceptable way. It was unprofessional, condescending, and bordered on outright bullying. No one -- especially young people likely in their first jobs -- should be spoken to like that in the workplace. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and awkward. If the food had been incredible, maybe I could overlook a few issues. But when you combine subpar quality with an unpleasant environment and a lack of basic respect for staff, it's a definite no from me. I won't be supporting this business again.

If ordering with friends then i either get a main dish which comes with chips or rice for around £5 or we go for a banqute which starts at around £8 for two. The staff are really friendly and place looks clean - you can see over the counter into the kitchen. The counter also has two large tropical fish tanks, which personaly freaks me out cos i dont particular like fish, but i believe are there to make the customer more relaxed whilst waiting for their food

If you have read my review of the McDonalds at Junction 32, then you'll already know that I am not a big fan of this new styling. While the place looks nice inside, I still think that the overall system of ordering/collecting your food needs more work. It's a good idea in pricipal, it just doesn't seem to execute very well. For example, say I am paying cash, so I need to go to the manned till. All I want is a milkshake or tea/coffee etc. So I pay the member of staff at the till and then have to queue again at the collection point (like in argos!). This never used to happen before as the member of staff would get my drink there and then. When you combine all the orders that have been placed through the touch screens and manned tills, this can sometimes end up being quite a wait! For the kids, there are touch screens and the tables so children can be entertained. They have also added the recycling bins too, but does everybody really put the right rubbish in the right bin? I have a feeling not. On the whole, just a standard McDonalds with a facelift. I eargerly await to see if they improve the ordering/collection system.

This Mcdonalds is quite large, and has a seating area inside, picnic tables outside, a car park, and a drive through. It is currently undergoing some renovations and improvements, so the drive through is currently closed, but the staff have said it will be re-opened within a couple of weeks. This Mcdonalds serves the usual array of fast food, and always has the limited additions available. Mcdonalds food is cheap, filling, and I find it tasty! You can get children's meals from £2, and snacks from as little as 69p. The service in this Mcdonalds is always good. It is normally very fast service, with polite staff.

Mostly take out from here but there are a couple of dining tables inside if you're not in the position to get home quick or don't want to eat on the street. The meat is halal so don't let that stop you they have great meal deals too and the staff are really friendly and happy to talk to you even at 1 in the morning. Would highly reccommend
