She was really quick and efficient I unfortunately had 3 cavities.. after not going to the dentist for the last 2 years. I was dreading my filling. But Dr. Trinh was AMAZING. She did 3 fillings in 30 minutes. I went without anesthesia and it was manageable because she was so gentle, explained every process when she didn't have to, offered jaw breaks (we need those!), and I loved that she was humming while working -- it totally made me feel more reassured. She is currently suffering from a severe infection caused by an impacted wisdom tooth, which has left her in excruciating pain, running fevers, and unable to care for her family. Prior to scheduling her appointment, she did her due diligence. She called the office ahead of time to specifically confirm that they accepted her insurance and, more importantly, that they had the capability to perform a wisdom tooth extraction on-site. She was explicitly told that their oral surgeons could handle this procedure. Based on this assurance, she booked her appointment for Friday. She arrived 20 minutes early to ensure no delays, provided her health insurance, and was taken back for X-rays by a dental assistant. After the X-ray, she was left sitting in the chair for an agonizing 40 minutes waiting for the actual dentist. When the dentist finally arrived, the consultation lasted less than two minutes. They looked at her X-ray, informed her that the tooth was "really badly impacted," and promptly told her they could not perform the extraction at their office. Didn't even examine her mouth! To say this was frustrating is an understatement. What makes this experience truly negligent, however, is what happened next: They sent her home with zero treatment plan, zero pain medication (despite her visible fever and distress), and most importantly, zero referral to an office that could help her. They effectively washed their hands of the situation, leaving my extremely ill sister to fend for herself and start from scratch to find a new provider. It is completely irresponsible for a dental office to confirm they can handle a procedure over the phone, take a patient's time (and insurance information), make them wait, and then turn them away during a medical emergency without providing a referral or even a prescription to manage the pain in the interim. Please, save yourself the physical pain and emotional suffering. If you have a dental emergency or need a surgical extraction, do not trust this office to take care of you. They are either not equipped for complex cases or are happy to waste your time while you are in distress. Oh and lastly, I called them Saturday and was routed to an operate who had me on hold for 30-minutes trying to contact the San Jose office!
