The worst thing you can do is let Nana near your kids or grandkids. She is mean and has no compassion. She has scarred my grandchildren from their time at Nana's place. Nana's House has been a saving grace for my family and I. I have a 8 yr old and 6 yr old. We started are youngest at age 2 at Nana's House. Leaving your children with someone else to care for them, can be nerve racking, and I have never regretted my choice. I must say Nanas house doesn't deserve to be open much less have a star. Deanna Brooks, the owner, avoids parents at all cost when something goes south in her facility. Her staff are young, unaware and disrespectful. Two of my sons went there (8 & 6 years old ) my 8 year old was held down, kicked and punched in the face by two kids while being cheered on by two other kids.... Staff were no where to be found. I picked them up and one staff, Rachael, said I needed to sign an incident report bec my son was poked in the eye.. It was a state incident report ( this is a state licensed facility) the report was written in pencil and had one sentence.. ( kids name ) poked him in the eye. It was sketchy. When I got home and started talking to my kids I saw that my sons entire left side of his face was black and blue along with his legs. My kids elaborated on what had happened. I called Deanna and she had no idea any of that had happened. I kept my kids out of daycare and sent them to my moms to regroup and calm down. I had to pick my son up from school the next day and take him to the er, he was having panic attacks. He stayed at my moms while I was at work. I had to pick him back up and take him back to the er bec he felt like he couldn't breathe and he was in pain. More panic attacks. The er doctor recommended that he remain out of school and daycare until he felt safe and he recommended getting him a therapist. Deanna was made aware of ALL situations that took place and it was HER suggestion the she keep the bullies away from my children. She refused to let the kids go as clients bec her ex husband is friends with one of the kids dads. During the week where the heat index was over 110 she had the kids outside without water bottles... I was called to pick my 8 year old from daycare bec he was vomiting... Upon arrival I asked how much water he had drank. The staff had no idea... (He is taking medication for adhd) my son was suffering from heat stroke. My 6 year old came home with a black eye, from the same kids that hit my other son. Once again I brought up keeping them away from my kids. My husband and I got calls daily about how bad our 6 year old was being. Each time I showed up I asked if my son had been around the bully, yes, was always the answer. My husband got a call saying my son and one of the bullies had climbed the fence at daycare and were running around. My husband spoke with our son via phone and things calmed down for a bit. He was then paired up with the same kid and they were yelling and throwing chairs. Deanna called the chief of police ( who happens to be a very close friend of ours) as a scare tactic for my 6 year old. My husband and I were never notified of this action. I later found out that Rachael videoed the event and threatened to tell my husband and I. Also, when the officer drive up she told my son he was going to juvenile detention. I confronted Deanna about all of these events, she denied knowing anything about any of it, except when she called the chief of police. I asked why she didn't say anything to us and she proceeded to tell me she was done with me and she has had it and I need to find someone else to watch my kids. My response was, you've had it? You didn't have to sit in an er for two days or therapy with my son bec of what happened in HER facility! She didn't have to reassure my kids that they will be safe, or sit in the er with a dehydrated child, or start over with explaining that law enforcement are good, not scary. All and all, Deanna is a spineless, two-faced, un responsible individual and has NO business caring for people's kids. I'm not the only one in town with these issues and views. She has been reported to the state for her lack of responsibility and her handling of kids. read more

When we moved our family from a bigger city and in that transition had to depart from the daycare we were with for 7 years I was terrified. Like any parent, I was worried about the change especially with a smaller daycare center and having to work so far away. Nana's House has been nothing less than outstanding! One of the best choices we've made for our children. The teachers love what they do and Deanna Brooks (owner) is always present and puts 110% of herself into this facility. Nana's house is not just a business for her- it's her passion and it shows EVERY- SINGLE- DAY. There is never a time that I've felt uneasy or that my children were not safe and secure. My children are in a structured environment where they are learning every day but having fun in the process. My kids love it and look forward to seeing their teachers and friends.
