Arroz con leche, churro and cookie
Ashley S.

The inside is cute with a little sitting area. Staff was decent, not the most personable though. To be honest, the food just wasn't it. Not a whole lot of flavor, especially with the arroz con leche. The cookies, churros and tres leches were pretty good though.

Cute little bakery. Very nice owner. The tres leches cake was delicious and very generous portion for the price! The flan was ok.

They sell tamales! Chicken and pork.

This place hits the SPOT! I've had some major Pan Dulce cravings since I got pregnant, so my mother's day gift from my husband was basically buying out this whole store. Apologies for the photos with bites already taken out of them... I'm not gonna lie, I don't know the names of most of what I ended up getting, but I can tell you I do know tamales, and that hit the savory spot! They sell them in minimum amount of half dozens, so naturally we got 6 of each. The chicken had a bit of a spicy bite, but the pork was so flavorful and less spicy, it really was the perfect tamale. As for the pastries, the concha made my husband cry, and he said it was better than he'd had in Mexico. The other real standout was (not pictured) the slice of tres leches cake we got. We obviously had far too many pastries to eat that on the same day, so I can vouch for letting it sit a day in the fridge and soak up even more goodness. My goodness, I'm a cake lover, and this has got to be one of the best cakes I've had. So moist and sweet! I can't wait to go back for more!

This is a small bakery with parking in front. They have donuts, cookies, turnovers, and other pastries. There is no menu because everything is $1 and what you see is what is available that day. There are some donuts but some much larger things as well. Everything we got was spot on.

Basically a serve-yourself bakery with tons of Pan Dulce, so many choices we didn't know what all to get. You load up a tray with all the goodies you want and take the tray up to the register and get checked out. We got 8 or 9 items and it only cost $7 so very reasonably priced, Especially for the quality. Everything we got was amazing.

I love this place. Have been going since I was little. Great selection of breads and pastries, superb quality, amazing staff who are very sweet. You must come here!

Hit or miss. The torta bread is sometimes moldy. So always ask for the freshly baked torta bread. The Mexican bread is hit or miss too.

As a bonus, the bakery has a specialty food section with an assortment of sweet and salty licorice candies (fruit filled, honeydrop, and schoolkrijt were all good) which is a treat for those who like strong licorice. For five pastries and a bag of licorice we paid about $20, which was quite reasonable. Looking forward to visiting again and trying the apple torte.

There is plenty of seating in the dining area. They have a nice coffee selection. I opted for the Dutch Bullet Coffee. I also purchased an apple muffin, a coffee cake with walnuts and a cinnamon roll for a friend. They also have a small pantry area to purchase various Dutch bakery and other sweets. They sell plenty of Dutch pancake mixes too. Their bakery items in display cases are impressive. Plenty to choose from. They also offer various fresh baked breads. Prices are reasonable too. Staff is very friendly. I liked the female staff member who waited on me. Apple muffin was fantastic. It was moist and had small chunks of apple inside. Their coffee cake is one of the best I ever had. Overall, I was impressed. I would definitely consider returning here again.

Here, it did not. The scramble was bland, the seasoning barely perceptible, and the burrito lacked anything resembling a defining flavor. Cholula provided most of the excitement. A single slice of orange arrived alongside it, less a garnish than an afterthought. The dish ultimately tasted like precisely what it appeared to be: tofu dusted with turmeric and wrapped in a tortilla. The service model was equally puzzling. Drinks are collected yourself, dishes are cleared yourself, water is not brought to the table, and my meal arrived with a fork but no knife. None of this is inherently objectionable, but it helps to explain the system, particularly to first-time visitors. A restaurant cannot expect guests to understand its rules when no one bothers to tell them what they are. The coffee was good, though sweeteners required another small scavenger hunt. Perhaps regulars know exactly where everything is, clear their plates without thinking, and return happily for the atmosphere. For a visitor, however, the "vibes" were doing considerably more work than the kitchen.

After our visit to the 50th Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off, we needed a good breakfast. Right…read morein downtown, surrounded by many options, Garden of the Gods was packed on a busy Labor Day. They had a very nice space for the weather. They were quite busy and our server warned us it was going to take a long time due to the amount of patrons. This would have been good to know before waiting 40 minutes to be seated. Good thing is that we were ready with our food order, because it may have taken another forever between our drink and food orders. Our spiced chai was full of cinnamon, small, and ok. After an hour of waiting, we finally got our Mountain Man Hash that looked huge! Unfortunately, its physical size did not deliver in flavor. Even with its pork green chili, this dish was disappointing. The green sauce was not spicy; the spiced chai was hotter than the greed chili. The pork was well cooked but flavorless. The hash browns were soggy and also insipid. The eggs did not save this dish. Overall, this visit was quite disappointing. For the prices they had on their menu, I was expecting an almost 2 hour wait to be worth it. However, it was quite the opposite. Even when we wanted to get out of this place after eating, service kept us hostage for another 20 minutes. I am quite unsure which gods come to this garden.
