I've also sent friends her way who were struggling, and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. During tough times, our work has been very intense and focused, and during calmer periods, it has been a welcome relief to have a dedicated moment to check in, debrief, and reflect. I'm a demanding client in that I need strong, evidence-based techniques and solutions that I can't reason my way out of. Mary is extremely well-educated in her field; she learned my style quickly and always provides me with counsel and resources thorough enough for me to truly buy in and make meaningful change. She also has a terrific sense of humor, which is often a perfect respite when dealing with such serious issues. Mary has helped me sift through a wide range of topics including childhood trauma, grief and loss, toxic relationships, and career stagnation (I finally completed my Ph.D. after years of procrastinating with Mary's encouragement!). She is kind, thorough, and motivated, always keeping her eyes and ears open for new resources that might be relevant to my care, and occasionally even sending me new items in between sessions that she feels would be helpful before we're able to meet in person again. I consider Mary my safety net and trust that, whatever arises, she will be there to support and guide me through. It's a tremendous comfort to know that I don't have to weather the storms alone. I owe Mary a huge debt of gratitude for giving me the tools and confidence to push ahead. If you're struggling, needing guidance, or even if you just want a dedicated hour here and there to sort through life, I highly recommend working with Mary at Creative Core.
