With several aspiring cafe and espresso places opening recently in Nambour, a very recent addition, Nambour Social, had come to our attention. Good reviews swayed us to make reservations for breakfast Sunday morning, instead of our usual coastal haunts. An eclectic mix of tables and chairs and whitewash give it a country feel, along with the warmth of Edison lighting hanging overhead. A warm smile and friendly greeting saw us to our window table; the tables were full by 9am so reservations are a must on Sunday morning. Nambour Social focuses on using local produce and sources its coffee from Clandestino in Noosaville. The menu items are interestingly named such as Humpty Dumpty on toast being poached eggs with Tanglewood sourdough and Pepe Saya butter. We both ordered the latter, one with Avocado; and the other with Bangalow Sweet Pork Bacon and Portobello Mushroom. They were simply delicious and reasonably priced, Nambour Social stands out as the breakfast venue for Nambour, and we'll be returning soon for lunch. Highly recommended. read more
