I could not believe the difference. However, after walking at least 16km a day, every day, we started to feel sore and achy again. The prices at Shanti are so great, we decided to return today. This time they brought us to the couples room downstairs which was aaaamazing. An atmosphere of this quality would be super expensive in LA, and the quality of the massage is extremely high as well. We were both incredibly pleased. My feet had started hurting in new areas, and Lisa knew exactly where to hit to address them. I'm feeling great now, and can't wait to see how they feel tomorrow. My boyfriend and I each got 60 minute massages (thai/aromatherapy) and 30 minute facials for under $150 USD I believe. We were in a large spacious room with ambient lighting and the masseuses were well-trained. The facial was not as fancy as the ones here in NY (extractions, steamers, etc), but it was a nice way to replenish the skin after all the foreign water/air/food that had entered our systems. She used oils and hot stones to take care of all my knots and now I can turn my head without wincing. And the room had a wonderful lavender scent and soothing music.
