I have learned after numerous times that it does not do any good to make an appointment...they are all about the money and will never turn anyone away, even if the tech had an appointment. If that is the way they choose to operate, that is up to them, but they should not make appts. then and it just be a first come first serve basis. I will not be going back! read more

**Heres the owners reply to me. Pretty unprofessional, no wonder i was uncomfortable ** just moved here from las vegas in January. I booked an appt for a fill/gel manicure, and a pedicure, something i have some every 2 weeks, using their Facebook page. I also scheduled an appt for eyelash extensions (which they only do after regular business hours, so was scheduled at a later date.) I needed a new set of lashes, and generally have those filled every 2-3 weeks. Upon arriving, there's a sign about their mask policy- medical grade masks only. Once i walked in, the front looked a mess. Like, maybe they're having work done? Large cardboard boxes of used polishes are marked for sale, and the floors were dirty. There was no one at the desk, and the front is blocked from the back area by a large wall. I stood up front, thinking someone would come up when they heard the door.... nope. An older lady walked in while i was waiting, and sat down. (I have terrible social anxiety, and was very uncomfortable). About 5 minutes later a man (maybe the owner?) walked up front, ignoring me, and started helping the older lady, who did not have an appointment. No problem, I'm in no rush. The lady points out that i was waiting first, and gestures for him to help me. He literally flipped a mask at me (i was wearing one) and tells me cloth masks aren't allowed. Um. I was wearing a medical grade one under my cloth one, so i simply removed my cloth one. Okay ‍. He then tells us both to pick colors, after i explain that im new, and made an appt online. The "pick a color" system was one ive never encountered before.... i only realized what the hell i was supposed to do, by watching the other woman. They have shelves of colors, and binders. You flip through the binder to find the color you like, then find the color on the shelves yourself. No problem, but knowing i was new, it would have been nice to have been greeted warmly, and maybe told how they do things. I was sat down with a man, and i explained to him what i like- acrylic over my natural nails, nails kept short and almond shaped, then gel polish, please. I picked a pretty forest green color. I don't do designs or anything exciting, just simple color. This man was rough with me, pulling on my arm and twisting my wrist to where he wanted it. I'm 36 years old... ive been having my nails done twice a month, for 10 years now. I don't need that kind of handling, and he had my wrist in a position that was super uncomfortable, so i kept trying to adjust, and he kept pulling at me. This man didn't say more than 10 words to me, which is fine, i don't need small talk, im happy to sit there and relax. But, the things he did say, were fucking rude. He berated me for the state of my nails. I had had them done at Tips and Toes in Plymouth, and they weren't done very well. I apologized for their ill state, and explained that the last guy didn't really understand that i needed acrylic over my natural nails, and kept using a dremel to buff the tops of my natural nails. It was weird. Anyway. This guy kept pulling at me, and being snarky. In his favor- i managed to grab the wrong bottle of polish, grabbing a brown not green. He got up to get the right color, and didn't make me feel badly for the mistake. The water was started for me, and the man who initially greeted me asked of i had gel or regular polish on my toes- Its gel. He said they needed to soak off, and started wrapping me, and that had he known, he would have started that sooner. Well. Im sure fucking sorry. Maybe you should have asked me, at any point. But, okay, whatever. The gal that did my pedicure came over. Didn't introduce herself, didn't wash up between the last lady, and me. Okay, well, I'm not that much of a stickler, but geez. She gave me an excellent pedicure. 5/5 stars for her. She also was quiet, and not very chatty. That may very well have been my fault, as i was very anxiously fiddling with my phone, and my jewelry. I gave up, enjoyed my pedicure (i assume the only have a basic one, though i don't know. I normally do a more deluxe one, with paraffin and extra massage, but i was not offered a choice), while watching tiktok videos. My bill came to $74- i paid $90, and asked the extra be given to my pedicure gal. I paid up front with another new face, and was asked to pay via Venmo, which i did. I felt so unwelcome, and not at all valued. I would have turned into a regular mail client, plus a lash client. I ended up canceling my lash appt, and i won't be back. I don't know why i received poor service. I work with the public (a lot) and always make sure i watch my tone, and thank everyone for their help. I never want to be a "Karen". In this instance, i can only assume that my jeans/sweater combo, and visable tattoos gave them a poor impression of me, instead of the fact that I'm a doctor, married to a cop. We scheduled appointments for pedicures and manicures. They got us in right away. The pedicures went good just really fast as they were overlapping appointments and taking walk ins. But the manicure experience was awful. The girl working on us was also managing the place the whole time. Barely spoke to us as she was ordering staff around the whole time including her young daughters. She barely shaped our nails and then put the dip polish on. Never did she clean up the nails or do an actual manicure experience. It was very expensive for what we got. Any other nail place cleans up your nails/ cuticles before painting. When we arrived they asked if we had masks and told us they had them that we didn't need to go back to the car. Then when we checked out they required we pay $1 for the masks each. And then to use a credit card they charge a fee - ours was $5 each. The fee is the cost of doing business! And they are a small percentage not a flat fee. Had I spent $2 more they were going to charge me a $10 fee. They should tell you this when you make an appt so you bring cash. read more

Checked out Nail Fiend for the first time today and was very impressed. Kevin runs a well oiled machine and obviously treats his customers very well. I had a great no chip mani and pedi, and the place was very busy which I take as a good sign as a good spot in the area. It was very clean and spacious. Will definitely be back. read more

This place was not friendly and the services were just average! I went with my daughter and granddaughter for manicures and pedicures. They have no prices posted, they talk to each other instead of the customer, and when my granddaughter who's 7 tried to engage with them, they blew her off. I got the hand and leg massage, but neither of them got the hand massage, and it was not offered, and they paid the same as me. They also didn't do a great job. They did not take my polish all the way to the cuticle, so it looked like it was growing out right away. One of my granddaughters fingernail's polish fell off on the way home. They were also very rough, and one of my nails became infected. I won't go back. read more

I had an appointment at 11:30. I arrived at 11:25 waited 15 minutes to get told wash hands and pick out polish then sit at a round table. I went up to employee, I assume the owner and asked how much longer because I had an 11:30 appointment. He tells me it will be another 15 minutes because they are behind. I reminded him I had an appointment, he just started mumbling and talking to the lady about me who was getting her nails done by him with me standing there. I just walked out. No business from me. Obviously he didn't need my business anyhow because they were very busy. Treat customers better because I do let the word get out about poor customer service. read more

I have always had a clearly posted "no pets" policy at my establishment. Do I still have to allow service animals in? A: Yes. A service animal is not a pet. The ADA requires you to modify your "no pets" policy to allow the use of a service animal by a person with a disability. This does not mean you must abandon your "no pets" policy altogether but simply that you must make an exception to your general rule for service animals. read more

I went to this place based off of its Facebook and google reviews. It has a good reputation in Warsaw which doesn't have much. I think with Warsaw being a smaller city compared to larger ones the salons don't feel the pressure to be as accommodating. Anyhow, I was going out of state soon and needed nails since mine were very short. I got Kevin. I was not happy with the result. They were very bulky and did not fit my nail bed at all. Also small parts of my natural nail on the sides still showing & not painted which for being newly done shouldn't be the case at all. The paint job was choppy and not solid in certain places. After returning I went once more and had them done by Lisa (I think that was her name) and she was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and time she took to fit them to my fingers was light years above my previous experience. She is great and if I ever went back she would be the one to see. I paid $40 for my first job with Kevin then $30 with my fill from Lisa. I find that high priced for just a fill and gel polish. Also obviously as the customer you are expected to tip which is add another $6 if tipping 20% I grew up in larger cities and the quality there of service & outcome compared to Warsaw salons is much higher. I'm guessing because of competition and quantity of business. I used to get fills and hand designs (each nail different if I wanted and done by hand) for $20. If you go here go for Lisa! She's the reason this is 3 stars and not 1. read more

My daughter had a bad nail job at another salon in Mishawaka. Did a search for Salons with a high star rating and figured to try to see if they could fix the crappy job from the other nail place. This Salon was bright and welcoming..very girly...and we were greeted right away with smiling faces. They took a look at her nails and told us they could fix them for us. Needless to say my daughter went from near tears to smiling ear to ear with the fixed nails. Highly recommend this Salon. Very nice people. This will be our go to place from now on. They do a REALLY good job here but they take 10x longer than anywhere else I've gone. It literally took over 2 hours just to have my gel taken off and get new gel polish. The staff is also kind of rude, the lady who did my acrylics complained to me and asked if I really wanted them because they were a pain to do. The only place to have your nails done in Warsaw is here! They always make me feel like I'm the only customer...always VIP status. They are very busy at all times, but the personal service is second to none. I suggest setting an appointment if you are on a time crunch. Extreme attention to detail every time. Pedi techs are great as well! The leg rubs are to die for! I literally want a weekly pedi....even if I don't need it! I also enjoy bringing my 3 year old cousin along! She loves to be pampered!! My daughter and I went to get a manicure and pedicure Kevin did my nails was very nice I only had to tell him once that I didn't want gel My 11 year old daughter was waited on by Roxy She asked if I wanted gel for her I said no I thought that was the end of the conversation I was not seated next to my daughter Long story short after we left My daughter proceeds to tell me that Roxy constantly complained about having to Polish her nails and how it doesn't matter anyway because they're just gonna chip in 2 days I cannot believe someone would try to make a 11 year old girl feel bad !! I was looking for a new nail salon and came across nail fiend. Decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad I found this place. First of all, the salon itself is so on point, the decor and atmosphere is perfect. My nail tech did an amazing job on my new set, she did exactly what I asked for. I am so happy with my nails. They might be nice but they are awful at dipping powder nails. I have about 4 years doing my nails with dipping and they were awful and I tried the place twice before. The last time the owner did my nails and those were SO BAD, you can't do nails when you're doing so many things at once. I'll defer not going back. read more

Went for the first time today to get a pedicure after work. I'd been on vacation and then out of town for work and my toenails had gotten a little long when I prefer them pretty short. I had to ask twice for them to be cut down and even then, the nail tech didn't cut them all. No one was friendly, it just seemed like I was an inconvenience. I'll give them 3 stars because the salon itself looked very pretty and clean. Otherwise $30 for a lackluster pedicure when I had to come home and cut my nails myself is absolutely not worth it. read more
