However, this makes for limited space, especially during the hours of 12-1 when you would be extremely lucky to find a table. You can't book either so it is just a matter of crossing your fingers and waiting. But don't forget, you will not be disappointed! They have a whole range of different vegetarian burgers. I've tried them all and really can't choose the best, it would be like favouring one child! The Thai Burger is always amazing, but just remember no matter which one you chose it will absolutely mouth-watering. The sizes are also ridiculously large. You get the option of having a whole or a half-burger. A half-burger is definitely enough to fill one very hungry person! The prizes are also very cheap with a half-burger setting you back less than $10. If you don't feel like a burger, Vego n lovin it also do a delicious salad and soup, which also come in super-sized serving sizes.

Dressed with a convoluted mix of mosaic picture frames, post cards of luxurious 80s holiday destinations (like Hawaii) and a mismatch of vinyl chairs and lino tables somehow blends together to make for a quirky, washed (not unwashed) hippie (not hipster) vibe. And the burger masterpieces created from the brain of this place (the kitchen) come with names like "Ab Fab" or "The Mexican" - all time classic hits that have been topping the foodie charts for 25 years in Adelaide. The menu is written on the most inconvenient spot in the cafe, but who needs to read about ingredients when you can just fall in love with the name and the vibe of a song - sorry - burger, right? Nothing is made with meat and every burger has some version of lentil or chickpea involvement. As Tom W mentioned, only go with half unless you have been starving yourself for a week and don't feel shy to ask for extra avo or hummus included. Although no Banana Pancakes are made in store and they ONLY except CASH in hand, you will fall in love with the aura and energy of this cafe, its staff and the hearty burger party going on inside that will make anyone's heart sing with joy.

The food is of good quality and will fill you up. I particularly like the SFC and the mock duck. The only negative I have is that it can take a long time to receive your food, even when it's not busy. And they're training some new staff at the moment who don't quite know how to be waiters-we had no cutlery at our table and the waiter took cutlery from a vacant table and told us to set it up ourselves. I'd still recommend this place, regardless

Zenhouse prides itself on it's organic products and peaceful atmosphere, offering a healthy haven for busy workers and stressed students. Their magnificent range of tea from around the world is the perfect remedy for a hectic day and their tasty food with eastern and western influences is sure to hit the spot. I am a SFC fan! SFC is one of the dishes and is basically fake popcorn chicken, but so much tastier. You can get it with chips, salad and a dipping sauce or even in a gourmet burger. The satay sauce is the best pick to accompany this one. Even a meat eater will appreciate this one. There is also a mixture of tea inspired fruity mocktails. I suggest trying the Fruit Medley if you have a sweet tooth, it's bright pink and the fruity floral flavor is orgasmic. I guarantee you will want to come back and try everything on the menu. It's natural, healthy, and tasty - too good to be true.

Omg this place is the absolute bomb!!!…read more This is my new favourite cafe .. I'm Veggo/vegan and this place is - by a mile - clearly for me - the best tasting vegan food I have ever tasted!!! They say 'At Salem we make all of our meats, cheeses and sauces in-house. We smoke, grill, and slow roast our plant-based menu to give it deep flavours and good fortune.' I say - well done guys you've got this soooo friggin right!!! So far I have only tried there tofu scrambled and their BLT sandwiches ( on their specials board this week) but as I only heard about this cafe last week - I'm already addicted!! This has to be the best vegan cafe in Adelaide by a long shot - in fact the best that I've been to anywhere in a very lonnnng time!! There's something about the way these girls do it - (it might be the booze) that it just tastes sooooo good.. so good in fact I couldn't and still can't believe it's all plant based food!! I actually had to ask them just to make sure.. They have a range of homemade sandwiches, juices, hot drinks, iced drinks and deserts .. and I noticed a coming soon beer cider & more I haven't got to the desert menu yet but their ice chocolate was incredible!! Annnnd look out Adelaide people - they do Uber eats too!! What more could you ask for!! The cafe has a really cool friendly relaxed vibe, I heard a sweet little voice say hi there when I walked through the front door ( Having no idea where it came from took me by surprise - but realised it was the chef in the kitchen greeting me ) The girls working that day were lovely and helpful. They apologised for the wait (but there was no need - as there really wasn't one) it was maybe a 10mins max from the time I ordered to getting my food (a BLT sandwich and an iced tea).. they had 3 groups come in and two Uber orders on the go - so they were doing well!! The only issues I can see them having here are actually all PROs for them 1. They will run out their delicious food way too quickly - it takes 8-12hours for them to cook the 'meats' so once the hordes of vegan peeps cotton on to this place - it will be GAME on for young & old veggos when doors open at 9am each day!! 2. They will run out of seating too quickly - the dining room has one large table to seats maybe 8-10 people & then a few two seaters & a couple of waiting benches.. the sewing shop next door that has been relatively quiet for the last 50 Years - might get some referred business from the peeps waiting for a seat and then choosing take away!! 3. There won't be enough Uber drivers in Adelaide to deliver this hot stuff around town - more importantly to my joint!! 4. I potentially will miss out on my favourite dishes and regret ever writing this review!! My work here is done - if I never write another review you will find me in Salem cafe in a bath full of ice chocolate - eating my way through every single menu item from 9am Thursday's through Sundays.. But honestly do yourself a favour - even if your not veggo - give this place a crack it'll be worth it & it might just open your mind to how great some of this food can be.. Peace

I am saving this spot for a 5 star review when I have time. I honestly thought I had already…read morereviewed these guys. But read on for my hot 'takeaways'. These guys are fantastic, they care about their employees and their customers. Each order comes with a special note, which shows the care they give to their customers! All their food is fresh like it was picked from the garden that day! Each mouthful is delightful. Each meal is affordable. Even if you want to try five things these guys make it affordable. The menu changes with the seasons but continues to stay excellent and never falters with bringing the flavour and new excitement for our tastebuds. Allowing us to enjoy something new and being confident that it will fantastic no matter what. The menu is also very large so no matter what you feel like whether it's a healthy filling salad or some cheesy comfort food, these guys have you sorted! Every dish is great. They cater to all dietary needs without shaming you or ruining the meal because you need something gf (high quality alternatives are available which is so rare normally). Everything tastes so fresh and gives your saliva glands a marathon. My personal faves are the potato and dill balls, the chickpea omelette, the veggie frittatas and the 'chicken' and chips. Also highly recommend purchasing ALL THE SAUCES!!!!! Especially the green one and the aioli! The buffalo sauce is my friends favourite and if you like a bit of sweet chilli they have you covered. Thank you veggo sizzle for all the love and help and amazing food. This is the perfect place to order yourself some food for a picnic, a Netflix and chill date or grabbing a quick bite to eat in-house.

I wasn't sure that it would live up to the hype--I mean, look at all these 5 star reviews! I am pleased to say that it did. Great staff, very friendly and helpful, delicious food and coffee and another place in Adelaide that make a great flat white with a shot of vanilla. Excellent! Our little group sat at the back table and chatted while we had our drinks and our brunch. The only real negative here (and it's a little one) is that the table wasn't cleared of our plates once we'd finished eating. And we stayed there for an hour after finishing our food, so that was a bit meh. Otherwise, E for Ethel is a nice little hideaway in North Adelaide and I can see why it's so popular and well-loved. Will be back for sure.
