They would bring me water, blankets, and pillows to try to make the process as comfortable as it could be. I was allowed to bring one guest with me (which typically was my mom or my very close friend) but most of the time i would go alone. They also have curtains around your area so that you can have privacy during your treatment, which I could appreciate. It was a really nice experience and would recommend it to anyone who has to do any treatment .

Although he is not treating my…read morehusband, (i.e. no chemo) he is monitoring his platelet count, as my husband suffers from thrombocytopenia, which may have been a side effect of radiation treatments for a rare form of cancer, mycosis fungoides. . Dr. Molthrop is very thorough, very personable, and his office staff is very pleasant. Since my husband is not receiving chemo, we have had little contact with nurses, therefore, I can not really speak to what they are like. However, I do know that at every appointment, Dr. Molthrop always gives the patient a print out of their labs, which are done in house, on the spot. This is great for those of us who like to keep copies of our own records, as it eliminates the need to ask for one's records. Dr. Molthrop has a delightful personality, which is a big plus for those dealing with a disease as serious as cancer. Although he is thorough, he does not over-react. Part of being a good doctor is the wisdom to know when to treat and when to monitor. I highly recommend Dr. Molthrop.

It does take awhile to get an appointment with Dr. Finkler, but I am sure that is because he is so much in demand because of his well deserved stellar reputation. You could not find a more competent and caring physician. Dr. Finkler literally saved my life. He truly listens to his patients, and unlike the countless other doctors that I'd been to see about this problem, he LISTENED to me and actually believed me when I told him in great detail of my ongoing symptoms and of the excrutiating pain that I was suffering. . By the time that I saw him, I was in agony. He performed a TAH/BSO on me, and my condition was actually Stage IV. Dr. Finkler's nurse, Linda Pfeiffer, is just as caring as he is. I can not tell you how many times I have had a medical question, needed a referral for a physician, or requested Dr. Finkler's opinion on a medical issue. Over the past twelve years, he and Linda have come to my aid too many times to count. This woman has been the most comforting, thorough, supportive nurse that I have ever had in my life, and Dr. Finkler is the same....If I ever need him, he is there for me, as is Linda. They truly exemplify the best in their profession, and I can not imagine anyone being displeased with the level of care rendered by either of them. When Dr. Finkler retires, I will be one unhappy camper, as he and Linda are irreplacable. Any woman who has any form of gynecologic cancer could never find a more highly skilled or more compassionate doctor than Dr. Finkler. He's an excellent surgeon and his patients are very fortunate indeed. In spite of the fact that Dr. Finkler works in a field (oncology) that has to be depressing at times, he always remains just as upbeat, positive and caring as he was on the day that I first went for my consultation nearly 13 years ago. Dr. Finkler has a wonderful bedside manner, and he is not at all offended if you are the type of patient who asks a lot of questions and who likes to read up on things. That is the mark of a truly good doctor, and one who is secure within himself. Patients come from out of state and from distant cities in FL to go to Dr. Finkler, and I can see why. He is truly the best .

He would ask me a question during the procedure and then all but accuse me of lying. I was 70 years old at the time. He showed no respect, injected my hand with me standing with my hand held out over the sink. Evidently there was some kind of bleeding issue so he told me to return in two days for follow up. When I did, he accused me of "just showing up" without an appointment I assure you, I had a follow up appointment. When I returned to have my stitches taken out, he was Mr Niceguy. I believe his office staff told him how out of line he was and he was trying to make up for it. Even the office manager came in and asked for a good review on Yelp I realize this happened a few years ago but at the time, I felt humiliated and just plain hurt. I've never forgotten this rude, insolence behavior from anyone. By the way, my trigger finger has healed and not caused me any more problems. They proceed to escort us out because we confronted them about not coming back to give my mother water for literally 2 hours after we asked twice.
